There are people, when they see themselves not moving, or when they weigh themselves down to the point where they are stuck in life, they don't want anyone else moving.

That's why it is important to know your circle, or the people you choose
To keep around you. It says in the Bible, "Bad company corrupts good manners"

I always face this situation where someone who don't have the courage to
Go after what they want so they try to
Convince me that I am wasting my time by pursuing something out of the norm.

For example: I am a premed major and whenever I get asked, "what are you in school for ?", I would often respond, "I am a premed student, I want to become a doctor in pediatrics". Usually there would be a pause in the other person's reaction or they would quickly respond, " why are you going to school for that long ? I heard it's very hard, why are you doing that to yourself ?"  My answer would be, " well I don't care how long it takes, that's what I want to do and that's what I will do. " that usually shut them up.

People that have low faith sometimes get scared away by people that know exactly what they want in life and are going for it.

It is highly important to keep the right people around us. There's an saying that says; 'if you hang around bums, eventually you'll become one'. Same for weak minded people. If you're always around them, eventually you're going to lose yourself. It's either you rub off on them or they rub off on you. It doesn't cost any money to go your own way but it'll cost a fortune to stay around people that are not helping you grow.

Put yourself first!
