Chapter 3

Jane ran to get to the car.
"Right, is everyone ready," Aragon said as Jane buckled in her seat belt.
"Yes" Mary, Katherine and Elizabeth said very monotonously.
"You ready Edward?" Jane turned around.
"I'm tired" Jane showed her son she felt sorry for him by changing her facial expression.
"He's angry that I threw a cushion at him"
"Katherine, I'm sure your Mum has already dealt with that so drop it"
The car fell silent.
Elizabeth decided to break the awkwardness.
"We all have history today, right?"
"Yeah, we find out what topic we are studying for the rest of the year" Katherine answered.
It was currently January, so it was a long time until they broke up in July.
"I hope it's something intriguing"
Mary responded.
Catherine and Jane shared a look at how their children got on so well.
This conversation went on until they arrived at the older girls' school.
"Bye, love you" Jane shouted out the window.
"Bye Bye" Aragon added.

"Thank God my mum's not here, she's never done that before and now is not the time for her to start." Elizabeth stated.

"Mummy, I'm really tired" Edward whispers from the back.
"I know sweetheart, next time come and find me instead of Katherine"
"But if you don't want to wake your Mum up you can always come and get me!" Aragon interjected.
Jane rubbed her hand on Catherine's knee as if to say thank you.

As they arrived at Edward's school, Catherine waited in the car whilst Jane walked Edward in. 10 minutes later, Jane returned to the car.
"Hey babe" she said as she opened the door.
"Hey"
Catherine turned and kissed her girlfriend.

"What you want to do today?"
"I don't mind, what ever you want"
