A/N I know Mary, Elizabeth and Edward would have had Tudor as a surname but in this, their mothers changed it.

On the morning of December 25th, Katherine came downstairs early in her all-black pyjamas. She sat on the sofa and stared at the tree. Normally coming downstairs on Christmas created joy and excitement in the child's heart but today, she couldn't care less. Normally they'd each have a sack of present's along the wall, except Edward who would have 'Santa presents' as well, but today, there were just a gathering of presents under the tree. Normally, she'd wake up to the smell of an English breakfast and her Mum shouting from the kitchen, telling her to get up because she'd slept in half of the day but today, she awoke to silence.

There was nothing normal about this Christmas however Catherine had told her, the previous day, that they needed to make the most of Christmas - especially for Edward's sake.

Around an hour later, Edward was the next to wake up. He walked downstairs and sat next to his sister.

"Look at all those presents Kat,"

"I know Edward. What did you ask for, for Christmas?" Katherine said, her voice slightly breaking.

"I wanted some more books, what about you?"

"I already got my wish,"

"Did you open presents without me?"

"No," She laughed for the first time in two months" I wished that Catherine and mum got married"

As if on cue, Catherine walked downstairs.

"Happy Christmas Catherine!" Edward said quite loudly.

"Merry Christmas Catherine," Katherine added.

"Merry Christmas to you two too, who wants me to make some breakfast?"

"Yes!"

"Um, no thanks, I'm not hungry at the minute but I'll eat with everyone else later." Katherine replied.

"Right Edward, come tell me what you want,"

After everyone else had come down and eaten breakfast, Edward motioned everyone to go into the lounge and open presents.

"Right Edward, find one present for everyone and hand it to them" Katherine instructed.

"Okay, Anne Boleyn" He said, picking up the first present and passing it to her. They always wrote first name and surname to make things less confusing.

"Catherine Parr,"

"Anna of Cleves,"

"Mary of Aragon,"

"Elizabeth Boleyn,"

"Catherine Seymour of Aragon" Catherine smiled at this, it was a small gesture but she loved it.

"Katherine Seymour and one for me." The young boy sat down.

They opened each one in turn and repeated this process over and over again. Just when everyone thought the last present had been opened, Catherine rushed upstairs saying there was a couple more.

"Jane left these in her wardrobe, they were already wrapped so I don't know what they are,"
