//I was late, but i arrived//

//And this is how it starts...//

"Kate, where the fuck are you? You have to be at work in 10"

"I am sorry Rebecca. I have forgotten the time."

"Yeah that's what you are telling me everytime you were late. Hurry up!!", she shouts, then the line is dead.

I grab my bag, put my workshirt on and leave my flat.

Walking in London is great. I have moved here for two years, for studying actually. I live in a little nice flat and work in a bakery for earning some money. Rebecca is my colleague and best friend. She studies too and she was the reason why i got that job. She is the one who always calls me because otherwise i would always be late, everywhere. At school, at the job, i would even forget where i am. It's not that i want that to happen. I'm just often thinking about things and forget the time or fall asleep.

When i enter the bakery, nobody but Rebecca is there. "Heyy Becca" She looks at me angrily. " Ahm..I am sorry??" "Yeah you should be. Kate...i can't always be the one who has to remember you about your stuff. Now come on, and help me with these breads." I sigh, bring my bag in our little wardrobe. While we are doing our work, the bell above the door rings. Someone is entering the bakery.

I turn around and see a guy opens the door for a blonde girl. The boy stands with his back in my direction so i just can see he is wearing a black leather jacket, black skinny jeans, black shoes and that he has black hair.

They seems to be a couple or something because the girl is blushing while the boy talks to her.

"Good morning", i say.The boy turns around and i froze. He is the most beautiful boy, i have ever seen. He seems to be twenty something years old, has dark eyes and his head is shaved on the left side. But the hair has grown so the right side is curled and a bit longer than the left side. He raises his brow."Morning? I think it's nearly 1 pm. But well...", he says with a kind of voice, which makes my heart race. The girl starts talking, " Hi, ahm...i wanted to buy a little sandwich and a cup of coffee to go please. Anything for you babe?" 'Yep they are a couple', i think. "No thanks babe. Don't want to make this lady here more work", he winks. I blush, and start making the cup of coffee and take a sandwich. "Makes 1,10£" The boy gives me the money. "Thank you, very much", the girl smiled, and they walk to the door. And again the boy opens the door for his girlfriend and she walks out. "Bye, until next time", he grins and walks out.

Rebecca looks around the corner, grinning. "This guy was flirting with youuu", she sings. "Shut up Becca!" She laughs.

Two days later, i work alone in the bakery. Rebecca called me this morning, told me she is ill and really can't come to work.

I clean the floor, while the door opens. "Hello, you again", a voice says. And there is this boy again. He looks cute, he is wearing his leather jacket with a white shirt, black ripped jeans... "Do you want something today?" "Yeah, i drank that coffee which Gemma bought and it tasted good. So i want a cup of your yummy coffee to go" When i turn away to prepare the coffee machine he starts talking again. "By the way, i am Matty. Matthew actually, but everyone calls me Matty" "Nice to meet you, Matty" "And do you have a name Miss 1-pm-is-morning??" "What did you call me?" He laughs. "I remembered you were saying 'Good morning' at 1 pm", he winks. "Haha okay...Yeah i have a name. I am Kate, actually Katherine but everyone calls me Kate." Matty laughs softly. "Here you are. Your coffee to go is ready to go", i try to joke. Matty laughs again. He takes the coffee, and turns to the door. As he walks out i notice a little piece of paper on the counter. There is something written... 'And this is how it starts'
