"Solitude is fine but you need someone to tell that solitude is fine."

Apparently my parents and the school principal already knew Megan was coming so she was allowed to come to all my classes with me. As we headed to my first class, we were going to be about 15 minutes late but the principal gave us a pass when we went in the office to officially check Megan in as a "Visiting Student." I was so excited to show her around the school and meet Gabby and all the other theatre kids. The auditorium at Pioneer High was 100 times better than the one in Marietta which was surprising to me.

"So babe, what class do you have first?" Megan ask as we turned onto the south hallway.

It finally doomed on me which class we were actually going to. "Ah, fuck. We have English first."

"Why is that a bad thing? You love English."

I chuckled, mostly to myself, "Yeah, but in that class we will have Landon, Nathan, Derek, and Landon's girlfriend, Madison. So it'll be a hell of a welcoming party for you." Megan practically started bouncing off the walls, "Hell yeah!! Derek was the one you hooked up with?"

I rolled my eyes, "Almost. Almost hooked up with. And yes."

"But you have feelings for Landon?"

"Y--- No. No. I don't have feelings for anyone." I grumbled and Megan just shrugged because she did not believe me.

An idea struck me to get Megan off my ass about Landon, "But there is this guy named Joseph that is extremely attractive. We've boxed at the gym a few times."

Megan looks confused, "Then why haven't I heard about him? And what about Derek?"

I laughed, "I like Derek a lot, but as a friend. But maybe I haven't said anything about Joseph because I like him the most." Megan gave me a look that said 'Yeah, right.'

We finally walked into the English classroom and everyone stopped to stare at us. Well, Megan mostly because it's a small ass town. And two, we were still carrying around the big German Shepherd balloon. My teacher paused and looked us for a second, "Ladies, please go to your seats." Megan and I quickly went to get the two seats behind Landon and Derek (stupid Landon finally took his seat back). I mumbled to Megan on the way down, "I'm so salty he did not make you introduce yourself to everyone."

Megan chuckled behind me as I sat behind Landon and she sat behind Derek. Derek looked confused for a few seconds before I spoke up, "Derek, this is my best friend Megan. Megan, this is De--."

"THIS is Derek?" Derek go red in the cheeks and smirks. My face flushes as well as I face palm into my hands. Megan winks at the both of us. "Could you not embarrass me all the time?" I joke with her. She pretends to ponder, and then says "Nope!" making sure to pop the "P" with her lips. I notice Derek give her a once over and I'm glad I don't feel jealous about that. Derek is great.

I smile at them as they begin talking about Derek's shirt, which is a Braves shirt, Megan loves the Atlanta Braves which is her many faults as a best friend.

Kidding.

I return my attention to the guy in front of me who has been quiet this whole time, Landon. I poke him in the back of the neck to get his attention.

Nada.

I poke him again.

I hear him sigh quietly -- still attempting to ignore him.
