Best birthday gift

It is Martin Birthday tomorrow and we are all planning to surprise him. Mom, dad and Laila is arranging the party venue whereas I was ordering him the big fatty cake with his childhood picture.

I hope he won't kill me with that cake design and writing on it (Happy Birthday Fatty Boy). He-he

I couldn't hold my smile just thinking of him getting mad as we (Laila & I) like pranking him. I told Laila about the plan which she supports me saying to keep it up.

It's been 2 years I have known Martin so closely, I couldn't thank him enough of what he has done for me. He sacrifice his studies when I reject him, he sacrifice his love just to see me happy, and he cried for so long making his family weak.

I seriously owe this man my life and after so many years, when he found me being broken down by that stupid jerk, all he does is just comforts me. He didn't judge me by my situation instead he keeps on loving and caring me the same way he used to do in past.

I can see a pure love in his eyes as well as the fear of losing me which he tries to hide it from me. I know he wants to be with me in his whole life but I am not sure whether I can give him happiness he deserve?

I was thinking all those things in my head when I remembered my friend Erika saying 'you need to marry the guy who loves you not the guy whom you love'.

I don't love him but I want him to be happy. I want to return all his happiness and a happy son to his parents. I know it will kill me inside but I don't' want him to sacrifice anything more just for me.

Now I got an idea what to gift him in his birthday. Therefore, I plan accept his true love on his birthday as a gift myself (Kath) to Martin. Thinking of it I went to bed.

Today is Martin's birthday and we all went to party venue waiting for him to arrive. Martin has got busy schedule which I cancelled all telling his PA.

He was heading towards the party hall when we all blow him with his birthday song. Martin looks so happy seeing all of us. I have invited his best friends and colleagues from the work which surprise him a bit but still more surprise is on his way.

I can see his tired face slowly lightening up seeing us jumping happily.

It was time to cut cake and martin cuts the cake making everyone laugh. He gave the piece of cake to his family and me. Everyone started giving him the gifts spoiling him while I went towards the stage to announce his birthday surprise.

'Good Evening Ladies and Gentleman, May I have your attention Please. I know most of you already knows about me and the rest who doesn't know, please let me tell you, my name is Kathrine, your Multibillionaire boss childhood friend.'

'Firstly, I would like to wish my fatty friend Martin a 'Many happy returns of his 28th birthday who is getting older just by number but not by his killing look.' I said making everyone smile and I can even Martin smiling softly

Then again I continue my speech 'I will also like to say sorry to Martin for designing that big fat cake and writing down happy birthday Fatty just to irritate you. I hope you won't mind it Fatty'

Martin just wrink at me with a huge proud smile and then I continue.

'Martin, I always want to tell you that you are very special to me and I cannot thank god enough to have you as my best friend who never fails to support me and holds me on every stage of my life. I know I won't be standing here like this without your support and you being my bone. Thank you for everything'

'I will also like to say sorry to you for not bringing any gifts on your birthday but I would like to tell you something which I haven't told anyone in my life'
