Friendship is Expensive

It's been a week after I had a coffee date with Adam. He keeps on ringing me every night to wish his stupid goodnight which I don't mind.

We talked to each other and I told him about my family and how I ended up here. He seems to be a nice guy. He told me that he was born in America whereas I was from London.

We both laugh at our English accent and try to copy each other like a small child. I told him about my school friends and my work colleagues.

Adam told me not to talk to Daniel but who cares? He can't have control over my life. I asked him about his family and he has got a small family; dad, mom and his sister who was already married.

Adam lives alone in New York but his parents are in California. He is a serious hard working guy who seems always busy at his work.

Today is weekend and Adam asked me whether we can meet up this afternoon or not? I replied him yes as I was feeling bored sitting at home.

I asked Erika whether she wants to join us or not since she keeps on bugging me to show her Adam and how I meet him. Unfortunately, Erika seems busy with her boyfriend Gareth who is a business man.

I meet with Adam in front of the park where he was waiting for me. I asked him whether he wants to go to beach which he hesitantly said ok.

'Adam, you don't look happy going to beach?' I said

'Hey beautiful, don't say like that, I am happy wherever you take me' he said

'You are a liar, I can see your face lying me' I said

'No please, I am not, it's just that I am wearing long jeans' he said

'Oh gosh your stupid excuse, don't worry, you can watch me playing in water' I said him teasingly

'As if I will watch you guarding on the beach' he said with a smirk

'Whatever, It's up to you whether you want to wet your jeans or not?' I said smiling

'Let's see when we reach there' he said

After an hour driving we reach the beach where lots of people were enjoying. I saw the ice-cream van melting my mouth in this lovely sunshine so quickly run towards it.

Adam has no idea what I was doing so he came walking towards my direction. Lazy fellow walking slowly like a tortoise, Ha-ha

'Excuse me sir, can I have a double scope of coconut flavour ice-cream please?' I asked the ice-cream man

'Yes sure beautiful lady' he replied and hand me out the ice-cream

I was eating ice-cream when Adam reached me with his slow ass.

'You are too slow tortoise' I said to him

'You are too quick rabbit but at don't forget sweetheart, tortoise always wins the race' he said and quickly grabbed my ice-cream and lick it up.

'You cheater, you ate my ice-cream' I said eyeing him

'No beautiful, it's my price of winning' he said with a smirk and start running

It's now my turn to chase him running after him. He seems quite fit running too quickly, but I am not giving up after all he ate my ice-cream. So I too keep running after him hoping to catch him.

We were running on the edge of beach and it was so beautiful and relax. After chasing couple of minutes, I got tired and stop running.

I saw children playing and splashing each other with water which looks so fun. So, I walk towards them and join them. It was so fun splashing the water with children but when you gets the salt water into your mouth 'Yuck, it taste Eww'
