In a house that is only enough for two people, is a girl named Lauren Eberhart. Her hair is unusually white as fresh snow, she has lovely fair skin, her eyes shown blue just the same as sapphires on a white blanket. She is seventeen years of age and she grew to be 5'6" while her parents are a little taller than her. A mother named Jenny and a father named Carlos, they have chocolate brown hair. Carlos has began to have back problems do to working at an office for seven hours a day, Jenny works as a teacher at an elementary school. The couple have a little bit of wrinkles and their hair turning silver.
"Mom, I've been wanting to ask you something for a while now," Lauren spoke to her mother, Jenny was starting her embroidery when she said, "Ask away pumpkin, I'm listening." Lauren took a slow, deep breath, she asked, "Why am I the only one in the family with white hair and you guys have brown hair?" Jenny stopped stitching and looked at her daughter with worry in her eyes, "I don't know how to answer that Lauren," she placed her hand on Lauren's knee as she explained, "I tried to tell people I don't know how this is possible." Lauren asked in a whisper, "Am I adopted mom?" Jenny shook her head, "No, you're blood related, I asked the doctors, but they said they can't explain why your hair is different from mine and your father's." Carlos entered the home and slammed the door violently, Lauren walked away into her room, Jenny did not say a word. Carlos sat on the couch and placed his hand on his forehead, "I can't wait for Lauren to leave the house," Jenny set her cloth on her lap and spoke softly, "What do you mean?" He replied tilting his head back, "I mean we weren't able to have enough food or money since Lauren was born, the sooner she leaves, the sooner we can have more food on the table and we could have more money with better lives." Lauren was able to hear her father through the door, tears formed in her eyes as she thought of her whole childhood, the money was scarce, the food was not filling, her father seemed to regret having a child, her mother always had a smile on her face. Lauren realized she had a suitcase full of clothes from her trip to France, she filled her wallet with all the money she had, only eighty dollars. Lauren grabbed her suitcase with her wallet inside and walked out of her room, Carlos saw her and asked in a grouchy voice, "Where are you going?" Jenny was not present in the room at the time, "I'm going away, I want you and mom to be happy, I'll miss you both," she opened the front door, "Goodbye, tell mom I love her, I love you dad," walked out of the house and shut the door. Carlos sat there astonished by what he witnessed, Lauren was ten feet from her home when Jenny ran after her, "Lauren please don't go, you're not old enough to live alone, you're father didn't mean any of this, please stay." Jenny wept as she hugged Lauren, Carlos yelled from the doorway, "Let her go, she doesn't need to be part of the family anymore." Lauren whispered to her mom, "It's okay mom, I can take care of myself, I'll visit you guys sometime," Carlos walked to Jenny, gently wrapped his hands around her shoulders and led her back to the house. Lauren continued her journey forward, and a lump in her throat was formed.
It was the next day alone, she looked around for a job to have, none were available for her, all they said to her were, "We accept employees eighteen and older, not minors like you!" Lauren lost a little bit of hope of finding a job and a place to stay. She placed her back against a tree and closed her eyes.
She woke up in a different place, it was a town in a middle of winter, "I thought it was April," she thought to herself. She got up to grab her bag, nothing was next to her. She panicked and looked everywhere for her belongings, she saw an animal from a distance, she squinted her eyes and walked the opposite direction, she eventually heard something running towards her from behind. Without thinking she ran as quick as possible, she tripped over a large rock, sharp teeth pierced her left calve and began to drag her backwards. Lauren turned her head to see something that looked like a deer going through starvation, antlers stood at the top of his head, sharp claws, and sunken eyes full of hunger. Lauren screamed and tried to pull herself forward. The tugging at her leg stopped and a female voice spoke, "Are you alright?" Lauren looked behind her to see a woman with midnight black hair that reached her lower back, her skin was pale, and her eyes shone silver. She wore a black, closed trench coat, a pair of grey leggings, and pearl white rider boots. Lauren nodded with wide eyes. "Thank goodness, I thought this ugly beast got you when I saw him dragging you, my name is Luna Eclipse, what's your name?" Lauren got up to her feet and replied, "My name is Lauren Eberhart. Where am I?"
Luna smiled and answered, "You're in 'El reino magico' you were taken from your home world to here because we knew you're an ice wizard. The thing that chased you was a wendigo, I'm a necromancer, I'll be your friend if you like." Lauren fell backwards into the snow and fainted.
