**Hi guys! So sorry you had to wait an entire week for this follow up chapter. I got sick shortly after I posted the last chapter and have been basically on my death bed ever since. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter!
Roxie's POV
I cried out in pain as I fell to the floor, catching my fall with my hands and keeping from hitting my belly. Not even a second after I hit the floor, the front door burst open, four policemen in bulletproof vest filing into the room at the same time Ivy and Khloe dropped down next to me. One of the men took notice of Tori still clutching the gun in a death grip and screamed for her to drop her weapon.
As if awakening from a bad dream, Tori's expression changed from villainous to horror. She threw the gun away from her as if it'd burned her before putting her hands up in the air. Two of the officers rushed towards her with cuffs out and ready as the other two rushed towards me.
"I need a medic in here!" one of them shouted through the open front door. Two people in T-shirts that said PARAMEDIC across the chest came running in with a big duffle bag.
"Appears to be a clean shot through and through. Ma'am, are you feeling woozy or dizzy?" The woman asked me as the two of them kneeled next to me. I shook my head as I tried to gain my bearings.
"Just hurts like fuck," I hissed out to which they both chuckled.
"Well, I'd take a shot in the foot over pretty much anywhere else any day," the man insisted before beginning to wrap my foot so that I could get to the hospital without bleeding everywhere.
"Fuck you, I need to see her! Roxie!" I heard Jedrek's panicked scream from outside.
"He yours?" the second paramedic asked while taking my vital signs.
"Yes, he's mine. Can he come in?" I asked. They both nodded in reply before telling the policewoman to go get Jedrek. Seconds later, he came bounding in the room like a bat out of hell.
"Jesus Christ, Roxie girl. I've never been so scared in my fucking life," he ground out, dropping into the space Ivy had previously been occupying until she moved to give him room.
"I'm okay. If Khloe hadn't shoved Tori, I don't know that we would be having this conversation right now..." I trailed off, swallowing thickly. "How did the police even know to come? And what happened to Seth? He was supposed to be outside!" I rushed out to no one in particular.
"Ivy and I have a code word," Ezekiel suddenly spoke as he stepped up next to me, wrapping his arm around Ivy's waist.
"Honey buns. With all the kidnappings and crazy shit that's been happening in the city lately, Ezekiel and I came up with it. If I were to ever call him - no matter the content of the call - and I say the words, 'honey buns' he knows I'm in serious danger. Right after I got off the phone with him, he and Jedrek tracked our phones and called the police as they were on their way here," she explained.
"As for Seth, he's going to be okay. She chloroformed the poor bastard. He's still out like a light," Jedrek commented. I heaved a sigh of relief.
"Thank you," I finally rasped out, voice filled with emotion, "both of you," I continued while looking back and forth between Ivy and Khloe. "If it weren't for you two, and she'd caught me here alone-"
"I don't even want to think about it," Ivy hissed, biting her lip as her chin started to quiver. I nodded in agreement.
"Ma'am, we need to speak with you and get a statement for the police report," one of the policemen said after noticing that my injury had been contained and I wasn't in any immediate danger anymore. Jedrek carefully helped me up off the floor and sat me on the couch.
