><>3rd person POV<><
::: Previously: Null fought for it's life to escape the clutches of the Nether, finding out much more about it's own powers and what it is capable of. In the end, the dark void being finally makes it through the portal. Just in time to escape Herobrine. :::

"Ugh! We need to get rid of it already! That, that thing, has the power to destroy us all! I told you this before, and I will tell you it again! We have no idea what that thing is, or how it was even created! That THING, is the striving essence of a mystery!! We must stop it before we are erased from the world by it's hands!" Herobrine shouted, slamming his fists on the table. He and another stood facing one another in a dark room with a single light source over the large table, of which the light stretched out pretty far.

"Um.. you sure. I mean.. it's name is Null, afterall. Literally meaning 'nothing; zero; invalid." The other man spoke. Surprising to both the two there, the second was none other than Notch, Herobrine's sworn enemy.

"Yes, I named it that a long time ago. Before I knew all it was capable of. I mean, when I first found it, it was so weak it couldn't even punch a tree without falling over in pain. I thought that at the very least I would keep it around like a little pet or something. However..-"

"-It appears to have grown in strength over time? Yes. I have picked up on that.. But, what makes you so afraid of the thing. From what I have heard, it can't even teleport, while we can. Apparently it can't even fly!"

"-Don't be so focused on what it can't do! That is what almost got me killed. I too only looked at what it couldn't do, when I should have the whole time been looking at what it could do! Besides, it could have already learned those things by now. It has been seventeen years afterall.." Herobrine groaned.

"...So what can it do, that you are so afraid of? I am still failing to see how this thing is a threat. It could easily just be a slightly more powerful version of 303, which honestly, wouldn't be saying much." Notch asked.

"..Hhh" Herobrine sighed, leaning on the table. Then he combed through his hair as he began to speak. "You know, how we all bleed?" Notch shook nodeed slowly in agreement. "..Well, I thought Null would too, just like 303.. But, I just found something... stranger." He said almost as if the processing of it alone was painful. "You see.. Null doesn't bleed." He earned an almost silent gasp from Notch as he began pondering how as well. "..He can't even die." Herobrine, for the first time in almost a thousand years, spoke as if he were about to cry out of pure, genuine fear.

"...How is that even possible?" Notch questioned.

"I don't know! Just- one of my soldiers managed to stab it straight through the head. I could tell the being felt pain, immense pain.. but it still stood up, and it continued showing even more abilities, ones like CONTROLING TIME ITSELF. It stayed alive, concious even. After years and YEARS of searching for it, I believe it has completely severed my ability to even pick up it's moving patterns. I couldn't even read the thing's mind.. Listen, brother. I NEED you, more than ever.. to help me. PLEASE? Help me..." Herobrine begged. His brother lifted his eyebrow at him.

"What is in it for me? How can I be sure that this isn't some trap to finally get rid of me?"

"I will stop fighting you. I will stop controlling the monsters.. I will change my ways for this. I- I just don't want to die... Because I know now what it is capable of. It might not, but I do. I have seen visions of the possible future where that thing kills me."

"-And exactly where am I in all of this? Just in case you have forgotten, we aren't exactly friends anymore." Notch crossed his arms on the opposite side of the table. Herobrine slowly looked up at him with a saddened expression that changed to stone stiff.

"...Because in that same vision, you had already been killed..."

     ".....I'm in."

The dark void laid down, it's head resting peacefully on a soft pillow. In an instant, it woke up. Though the being had tried living it's life as closely as a human's as possible, it found sleeping in, quite impossible. Slowly, the being sat up in bed and stretched a little before standing up, ready to start the day. The dark void being moseyed along, out of the bedroom, past the living quarters, and into the kitchen. The small one story one bedroom house fit the being well as it casually strolled through it. Most of the house was made of oak wood, with some cobblestone and birch wood in there for variation.

The dark form opened one of the few chests in the kitchen; reaching in and pulling out some watered down potions of swiftness. This is what the humans have for breakfast afterall, right? The void being mixed in a couple cocoa beans, making what it presumed to be "coffee." It personally didn't like the taste of the beverage, but, it was apparently what the humans had before being completely wiped out, and it seemed to help a little throughout the day. The dark form then stepped out the front door with it's cup of "coffee," and sat in a simple chair on the front porch. There, it sat, sipping it's morning drink as it watched the rest of the sun rise between the two mountains, which were the only entrance into the valley it took shelter in. So far it had lasted quite some time without being spotted. It just hoped Herobrine would not turn and look for it there in that peaceful valley.

The sun finally rose, and it was time for Null to get up and do what it has been doing the last sixteen to seventeen years: train. Unlike before when it's movements and skill level were closely monitored by Herobrine, the void was able to practice it's own moves. It's own style. The being grabbed an old, beaten iron sword, which was leaning against a tree, and swung that around for practice. Comparing it's fighting skills to before, it's skill level had increased dramatically! The only time Null was really able to test out it's skills, however, was when scouts of Herobrine's managed to find it and attempt to escape to report it to their master. Those scouts never made it far. Null used the sword in it's hand skillfully, easily able to toss it to the other and use it just as well with that hand. Through training especially, Null figured out it was actually ambidextrous. Very handy in a case of battle. The being fought nothing but a collection of armor stands until it heard some shuffling in the distance. Fearing the worst, it flung it's sword like an arrow through the bushes, hearing some gasps as the sword flew clear into a distant tree. The void then heard whispering. Strange, whispering. Whispering that sounded, almost, human? The void shifted into fog form and hovered above clear sight to peek behind the bushes. Once it was directly above them, it jumped mid air for joy when it saw three small humans huddled behind the bush, whispering about something. Null didn't care what they were talking about. They were alive! The human race still existed! Eagerly, the void being flashed to solid form and dropped down right next to the small humans, managing to pick all three of them up in a big hug.

"Aaa!" The girl with red hair screamed.

"Wait, I don't think it is trying to kill us." A boy with dark brown hair, purple eyes, and strangely resembled Herobrine, except the obvious glasses over those purple pupils, assured everyone.

"What if it wants to eat us?" The youngest boy who sported an even brighter head of red hair trembled. Null hugged all three with scrunched eyes in joy. Finally, it had found some humans. Or, in proper terms, they had found it.
