Chapter 8
Dear Diary,
You will never believe what has happened to me! Lalia and I were going on a trip to Venice, the one in Italy, and we were kidnapped on the way there. By VAMPIRES! As well as Lalia being the scheming her, she just had to erase my memories a few days before we left..Just fabulous! Well thank god I have them back now!
I met the King too, you know. Huge douche bag he is. He hates humans. Never thought I’d despise anyone as much as I despise him! His wife, Celeste seems very nice though. She talked to me..In my freaking mind! Can you believe that?! Damn vampires have some pretty sick powers. I wonder if my sister has them to-
A knocking pulled me out of my writing and made me glance to the door. It was almost midnight..Why would anyone be bothering me at this ungodly hour? Putting my pen down onto my leather bound diary I got of my bed and opened the door.
Marius stood there with a blooming red rose in his hand. He was wearing black jeans and a black V-neck. The sight of him made me want to shove him into my bedroom, push him onto my bed and-
“Oh you dirty, dirty girl.” whispered Marius in a seductive tone
“How did you..Did you read my mind?” I asked dumbfounded
“Who do you think I am? Edward Cullen? I can’t read minds however I can read you expressions very well.” he said with a wink
“Oh..so you’re here..why exactly?” I asked and added hastily, “Not that I mind or anything, just at this hour?”
“I knew you weren’t sleeping,” Marius took a step closer to me that my chest was almost touching his, “so I decided to come and rescue my damsel in distress.”
“Damsel in distress, huh? And why’s that?” I asked him mockingly
“Please. As if you were entertained sitting all alone in your room. I know you want to explore the palace and that is why I plan to show you something.”
“Do you now..and what’s that?”
“It is a surprise.” Marius said mocking me back.
I pouted.
“Grab a coat too. It’s chilly outside.” he told me placing a peck on my lips
I went over to my bed where my warm, mustard coloured jacket was. I noticed that the leather bound journal I was writing in was open with my black Bic pen laying in the middle. As I picked up my jacket, I also closed my diary and hid it under my pillow. Wouldn’t want any nasty vampires reading it now..
I followed Marius out of my room and through the extravagant palace. Even though I’ve spent about 12 hours in this place, I was still in awe, I was not used to spending my time in a palace where the toilet paper probably costs more than my entire collection of books. And trust me, I own a lot of books!
“Come on my precious flower!” I heard Marius call as I noticed that I was far behind him, “You can look at the palace another time in the daylight. It’s safer that way and you’ll see it better.”
“Oh. Gosh, sorry! This place is just so breathtaking. I can’t help it.” I answered as Marius’s surprisingly warm hand wrapped around mine. We soon stood in from of a very thick satin and velvet curtain. I looked at Marius dumbfounded. Why would we stand in front of a curtain?
“The garden is right outside of here.” he explained, “I want you to close your eyes” Marius requested and I looked at him once again with a confused look. “Will you just trust me already?” he asked mockingly.
