Allison Rose Serafino always had a mysterious man haunting her dreams — but that's all they were: dreams! She has a steady job, nice house which she shares with her sister, and a best friend who she would kill for. Her life seems very mundane to anyone who isn't really paying attention.
Allison's life gets turned upside down when her sister suddenly died when she was hit by a car. On the very same day she also finds out that the man from her dreams is real and is chatting with her best friend, Eulalia, who just so happens to be a witch and has been erasing memories from Allison's and the mystery mans encounters. This just overwhelms her and Allison decided to take a vacation to go to venice, however on the way there she is questioned by vampires on the airplane and brought to the Royal Palace. Only there, Allison finds out that her dead sister and mother and very much alive—more like undead, this mystery man happens to be her soulmate —whose father (the King) despises humans, and that Allison happens to be leading a rebellion against the King but does not remember one single bit thanks to Eulalia wiping her memories!
