It was refreshing to feel the water hit my skin, and wash away the built up dirt from being stuck in the cell. I stepped out and chucked on black trackies and a plain white t-shirt, of course with a bra and underwear on underneath.

I made my way down stairs, but with every step a pit in my stomach deepened and the eerie feeling in the house was making me more uncomfortable, since I was used to the usual sound of shouting coming from my 'father's' office or wherever he was having his usual shouting match with his beta about one thing or another.

As I rounded the corner into the kitchen, voices flooded into my ears one standing out to me a lot or was it two new voices I was hearing and a friendly sounding alpha? No it's impossible for my 'father' to be friendly to anyone, ever, full stop.

"Hey Alyssa, come in here, I have a surprise for you." Yep, I must have gone insane from the small cell underground, if I just heard the loving tone I only heard when I was a toddler or baby.

I decided that I might as well humour myself and head into the living room, I need to check my sanity.

"Alyssa there you are, meet Zeke's mate Tara, Tara meet Alyssa his sister." Can someone slap me across my face, then kick me in my metaphorical balls.

"Hi nice to meet you Alyssa, can I call you Aly for short?" She stuck a hand out awkwardly to me, waiting for my response.

"Sure, also am I dreaming or did I finally lose my sanity." I shook her hand, and she was shocked for a few seconds before her gaze drifted to Zeke, who then pulled her closer to him while I noticed his eyes stare at me for a moment, and this action made the pit deepen and bile rise in my throat, I had to stop myself from pinching myself or speaking about the cage.

"No, Alyssa sweetheart." I have never heard such a sickly sweet voice in my life come from the Alpha.

"Are you feeling well Aly?" I noticed a tone of likely fake concern on Zeke's face, although he was busier pressing Tara into his body.

"Yeah I am, and I definitely didn't see a gaggle of girls crowding around you Zeke, or just be let out from an underground cage." In that moment I realised I definitely wasn't dreaming as an ear splitting growl reverberated in the valley, consuming every creature with fear... only two people should be able to do that, or really only an Alpha can cause such a sound.

But the concerning thing is that it didn't hold any power over me, but instead it made me want to rip out their throats more than usual... that was before I was overcome by a burning sensation which started in my head like it was a headache or migraine maybe then I felt it slowly consume my entire skin, making me feel like bugs were crawling under my skin.
