c h a p t e r 4

I trailed behind Bailey as she pulled me up to what I could assume was her room, as it held her scent all over it.

"Why does it seem like you didn't know you were an Alpha?" I kept silent as I had no response to this accusation.
"You didn't know? Did you?" I found my voice again.
"I didn't... I wasn't raised by my birth family." Her face contorted to one of shock and horror to this fact, I continued with a barely audible voice even to werewolves.
"I was... abandoned by my parents, and an Alpha took me in..."
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't of-"
"It's okay Bailey, you didn't know." I just stared blankly at her.
"No, I shouldn't of been so insensitive."
"Trust me it gets worse."

It gets worse, By Shane Dawson. Okay I'm bored and nearly cried today because of memories brought up by songs I listened to for the first time, BTW 'I write sins not tragedies' by Panic at the Disco is playing.

"How can it?" She sounded choked up as if she was on the verge of tears, while I seemed emotion less, guess it comes with growing up in Cerberus.
"Let me start at the beginning, just promise me you won't kill me from the information I reveal about myself..." I never wanted to bring up my past but I felt comfortable to talk to Bailey weirdly about this.
"I promise, nothing would make me want to kill anyone!"

"Okay... I was born on the 13th of April, a few months later when I was 4 months old I was abandoned by my parents on the borders of a pack named Cerberus..."
"Wait isn't that the rogue pack!"
"Yes but let me finish the important parts," She nodded and I continued. "After I was abandoned a female werewolf named Beth. Williams, the Luna of Cerberus found me and brought me to her husband Dylan, they both decided to adopt me as Beth already loved me and Dylan couldn't say no to his mate or me."

I was part of a family, a loving mother and father with two older brothers who were twins. They raised me as if I was truly related but I knew I wasn't, but I was just happy to be apart of their family, then on the 19th of June after 5 years Beth was killed by a rogue wolf who had tried to kidnap her for ransom, this broke the family bond and Dylan and Zeke internally. They were nothing but a shell of their former selves, I became an object of outcast when Dylan was gone, I was groomed to be the perfect female Beta for the pack, then Zeke's brother dissapeared after a year of them changing the once glorious Cerberus into a rogue pack, hated and feared by all. I was trained to fight and never show any weakness, Zeke went to Alpha training after his little brother was pronounced dead, he didn't care for anyone and instead just started to strive to be like his father. I was alone during this, life became mundane... wake up, get ready, train, eat, sleep then repeat it drove me partially insane. I did the same thing for years  every. single. day and every time I could escape for a moment I would climb the mountain and look out upon the city lights flicker in the night. But then I stepped out of line one day and was beaten, it became like this whenever I stepped out of line or was late for anything. Then I messed up big time and was thrown in a cell for a week with no food and water, I was only let out because Zeke had come back from training, I saw something I shouldn't have then but I brushed it off until I got into the place I referred to as home. I washed up removing all traces of having been locked up then went to get food, but instead I ended up having to meet Zeke's apparent mate Tara, it's when I slipped out the fact that I have been in a cell and about Zeke's multiple mates to them all, in moments pain shot through me as I began to shift early and ran out to the mountain top. I fell unconscious looking out on the city with bleary eyes, when I woke I meet my wolf and then had to run down here as I was being hunted down on strict orders to kill. And now I'm here...

"I'm... Alyssa a 15 year old werewolf who shifted early and is on the run... running for my life."
