Hey thanks for all the reads and votes it means so much.

"D-deku?"

Katsuki Bakugo stared at the horrific scene in front of him, the broken building an abstract mess of rubble and blood. The upturned dust clouded his vision obscuring what should only be seen in horror movies.

But this wasn't a movie... this was reality.

That became all to real to katsuki when he saw his childhood best friend lying lifeless on the concrete ground, his hair and costumes turning from green to brown like an infectious disease. The metal pole that penetrated his stomach seemed to be waving a flag, proudly proclaiming 'this hero is dead!'

Though, for katsuki, the worst part was the dull green eyes, so void of emotion and the sparkle that could warm the most frozen of hearts, that stared directly into his aching soul.

He had failed.

With legs like lead that felt as if they would give way at any moment, katsuki slowly inched closer to the empty shell of his former classmate.

This wasn't supposed to happen.

Just as katsuki's feet reached the slowly growing puddle of blood, he fell to his knees creating a small splash in the crimson fluid. He didn't care if if his costume got stained all he cared about was the now fallen angel lying before him.

All sound faded to a whisper while katsuki slowly removed the pole, with careful precision from the greenette's abdomen.

With an echoing 'clang' the steel cylinder was tossed to the side. Izuku's blood started flowing faster from his wound. What was the point in trying to stop it? The brightest ray of sunshine had disappeared leaving katsuki's world a lonely, pitch black darkness.

He thought he could make it.

Katsuki made no attempt to wipe away the thick, hot tears streaming down his face as his hands were busy clutching to the lifeless body of the number one hero.

He was supposed to make it.

"Izuku? No! Please no. You can't die, your the fucking number one hero." Katsuki had only felt this powerless when he was kidnapped by the LOV in their first year. He couldn't do anything to help all might then and he can't help deku now.

Katsuki pulled the smaller boys limp body closer to his, burying his face in his neck. What was it about Izuku that made katsuki show his weakest side?

After sitting there crying, for who knows how long, katsuki heard multiple footsteps coming towards him. He lifted his head only to meet the eyes of Inko Midoriya.

"Look what you did to my baby boy." She said.

Katsuki eyes widened but before he could say his defence another voice spoke up.

"It's all your fault deku is dead."

Uraraka?

"How did we raise a son like this?"

Mum, dad?

"No it isn't my fault!" But no matter what he said his friends, family and even all might and eraserhead kept saying the same things like a broken record player. The voices got louder and louder right until katsuki felt he would break down. He clutched his ears and scrunched his eyes in a futile attempt to make it go away.

Until it all went quite.

Katsuki opened his eyes to see a tiny green haired boy, no older than five, hugging an all might stuffy, staring at him.

They looked at each other for a while before the boy spoke up in a high pitched voice.

"Are you proud of me Kacchan?"

Katsuki could only stare at the younger version of Izuku.

"You told me to kill myself. I'm dead now, are you happy?" He said it with his innocent smile as if nothing was wrong.

The younger Izuku turned into his middle school self and a shadow appeared behind him.

Izuku tuned around to face the shadow and listened to what it said.

"If you want a quirk so badly just pray you'll have one in your next life.... and take a swan dive off the roof of a building."

"No! I didn't mean it, I never ment it!"

The vision cleared within a second and katsuki was left with Izuku's body still resting in his arms.

"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." The tears fell like water falls as the words from his childhood circled around his head.

"Pathetic loser."

'.....an?'

"Quirkless bastard!"

'K....c...n!'

"Dumb Deku!"

'Ka....han!'

"JUST KILL YOURSELF!"

"Kacchan!!!"

Katsuki's eyes shot open revealing vibrant, emerald green staring at him. 'He was alive. Izuku was still alive. It was a dream.' More tears fell from his already tear stains face, he remembered everything. They were dating for two years now, Izuku had passed out the day before during a mission scaring katsuki shitless.

"Ahhh! Kacchan don't cry. Wanna talk about it? No you wouldn't want to with your very independent personality. That's actually something we need to talk about, you know I'm here for you right? You can tell me any-"

Izuku was cut off by katsuki pulling him into a hug.

"? Kacchan?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For telling you to kill yourself, I never meant it and I don't know what I'd do without you."

Izuku smiled before kissing his boyfriend on the nose.

"I'm not going anywhere. Your stuck with me forever."

Katsuki smiled into the cinnamon rolls hair. The familiar scent of vanilla filled his nose.

Once Izuku fell back to sleep katsuki opened his dresser draw and opened the palm sized velvet box. He'd do it soon after all it was now or be to late. He won't fail again.

He'd do anything for this piece of broccoli, and he'd do anything to prove it to him.

"I love you, ya damn nerd."

Guys I cried of both sadness and joy over this. Hope you liked it. Update again soon. Bye.
