The next day I decided to go to the music hall to see her like how I planned the day before. Obviously before Kibum interrupted me and ruined my plan.
I tried twisting the door knob while closing my eyes hoping that the door was unlocked. I heard a click and opened my eyes.
'Yes! It's unlocked!' I thought to myself. I walked in to see that no one was there. I looked down and no one was on stage or by the stage or even sitting on the seats. It was completely empty.
That's odd. If no one is here it's usually locked. I was about to turn around and leave but I heard someone trying to open the door so I hid behind the last row of seats. The door was only a few feet away from the last row because the door was exactly behind them.
I sat down quietly and tried my best not to make a sound. I hoped that whoever walked in won't look at their right because I was there.
I saw a girl walk in and the door was automatic so it immediately shut behind her. Fortunately, she didn't look left or right. She just looked in front of her while she was walking down the stairs. Once you walk in you are met with stairs that were a few feet away from it.
I'm sure she didn't see me especially because it was dark and the only lights that were on were the ones that were aimed on the stage.
I was still behind the seats and stayed there. I poked my head up slowly and placed both of my hands on top of the back of the seat.
She walked on stage and sat in front of the piano. She took a deep breath in and out then placed her fingers softly on the keys.
She started to play the same music I heard a few days ago. Wait, so this means she's the same girl that I was looking for because I was really curious about her.
I placed my chin on the top of the back of the seat. I was still hiding behind the seat so my knees were placed on the floor.
I kept staring at her and how beautifully she played the piano. I didn't think that a boring instrument would make me in peace and smile.
I stayed there for god knows how long. I just kept staring at her even though my mind kept telling me to stop staring at her, my eyes kept staring ignoring my brain.
I think she messed up because she suddenly stopped then groaned in frustration while running her fingers through her hair.
I didn't know what she did wrong because I thought it sounded amazing and because I didn't know that much about the piano.
"Why do I keep playing the wrong key every single time?!" She asked obviously to herself because she didn't know I was there.
I wanted to answer 'What are you talking about? I thought that sounded amazing and I didn't notice that you even played the wrong key.' but obviously I couldn't and I didn't want to because I didn't want to blow my cover and I didn't want her to get embarrassed.
She then shook her head and said trying to convince herself "Focus, Focus. You can do it." she sat up straight and cracked her fingers then placed them gently on the keys.
She played it again, messed up then played it again. I saw her playing the same song over and over again for a couple of times.
I took my phone out of my pocket and looked at the time. 'Oh my god! I've been sitting her for an hour!' I yelled at myself in my mind.
I had 6 missed calls from Kibum and a few messages from him too. I really didn't want to leave but at the same time I had to but I didn't know how. I didn't want to get caught.
After like a few minutes or so someone burst in through the door. I looked to my left to see that it was Kibum. I looked at 'piano girl' yes that was what I called her because I didn't know her name and she was looking at Kibum who was still standing in front of the door. I ducked down, my entire body was behind the seat.
"Pssst, pssst Kibum." I whispered. He was like 10 feet away from me. He looked towards my way until he saw me.
"What are you doing here?! I've been looking for you for like an hour. I called you several times and you didn't answer me!" He kept going on even though I had my index finger on my lips gesturing for him to shut up.
"I'm not going to stop talking unless you tell me what are you doing here!" He yelled. I stood up and saw that she was looking at us. I ran towards Kibum and covered his mouth with my palm. He tried to remove my hand but I gripped harder and dragged him outside.
Once we were in the hallway I yelled at him "Did you really have to burst in like that?" I pointed towards the door meaning what just happened a few seconds ago.
He crossed his arms over his chest and nodded. "I looked for you literally everywhere on campus and I couldn't find you. I knew you would be here because yesterday you were standing here with your ear on the door. I thought you were eavesdropping on someone and heard a new rumor but I was wrong. When you got mad at me because of gossiping I knew something was fishy so I came here. You were here just watching some girl play the piano." He explained.
"Don't call her 'some girl' you know she has a name." I told him pissed at how he called her 'some girl.'
"Okay then what's her name so I would start calling her from her name instead of disrespecting her?" He asked. I didn't expect him to ask me. "It's non of your business." I told him. "It's because you don't know her name." He said and the laughed.
"Stop it." I said angrily. "So you fell for a girl that you don't even know her name?" He asked making fun of me.
I walked passed him down the hallway leaving him laughing alone. I was really pissed off but I acted like I wasn't.
