Selena was shocked to find out that Scott wanted to be on the track but then was confused as to how he got access to it. "Wait.. how did Cudi get access to it?" Aleen told her that she emailed it to him which made Selena a little irritated but also happy at the same time since he said he'll collab with her. She told Selena how he wants her to contact him so that they can set this up. "You were scared to ask me?" Scott chuckled through the phone with her telling him that she's afraid of rejection. "I could understand that but I couldn't—well first off, Timothée gave a good word in about you. You're a beautiful person inside and out. I love good people and you are truly a good person. I don't normally do collabs and when I do it's with my friends but I'll make this as an exception for you." Selena told him that she trusts him with the track if he wanted to change anything with it. A few days later he flew out to California to record. Selena was in the booth recording.

Scott was loving her voice he couldn't believe how good she sounded. He has hear some of her music before and can tell how much she has improved. "Okay let's pick it up at place where I can" Selena nodded before they played the melody Place where I can, Place where I can" they recorded it over before it was his turn to do his part. Selena sat near the producers as he rapped in the booth.

Selena was so mesmerized by how good he sounded. She knew they just created something so beautiful. Hearing his voice made her heart melt she just knew he was about to make the song a million times better. She felt truly blessed to have an artist that she wanted and trusted to be on her track especially a legend like him. After the session Scott walked out of the booth and Selena walked over giving him a hug. "Thank you so much for being apart of my track, my album, I will forever be thankful." A smile formed on his face remembering how highly Timothée spoke of her. He said no lie about how sweet and kind she is. They met a while ago through Abel when she was dating him. "It sounds incredible, your voice, the lyrics, I'm so blown away. We created something beautiful" she told him. Scott and Selena spent about an hour touching up, and adding more to it.

After the session, she stepped out the booth seeing smoke everywhere from them smoking a blunt. "Can I hit that?" Scott was impressed that she asked because he didn't know she smoked so he held it out for her to take. He watched her hit the blunt which he thought was highly attractive. She coughed a few times which made him chuckle placing his hand on her upper back rubbing it "easy." His producers left and they stayed in the studio alone to chat it up. "So why me?" He wanted to know why she chose him to be on the track. "I have always loved your music, I'm a huge fan and it gave me Cudi vibes so I mentioned that I would love to have you on the track. Aleen sent you the email without my permission which made me annoyed a bit but I'm glad that she did because you turned my song into something so beautiful" she told him truthfully. "I wouldn't want anyone else but you. I'm in such a better place than I was a year ago. I used to be so broken, you know? I felt defeated. Felt like I had no more fight left in me. I was truly at my lowest" she spoke honestly as she was getting emotional. "I've been broken for awhile actually. From all the lying and all the cheating.. from nearly dying and leaving a relationship to go back to the same toxic relationship all for him to leave me for someone else. I just felt depressed. But I knew I needed to be better, to do better. I left Instagram, I'm currently not on it right now and I'll say I've been in a way better place since. I've gone to therapy to work on me, to figure out the woman I need to become. I realized I need to be vulnerable, something I haven't been. The old me died, she's never coming back. I have a song on the album called lose you to love me, it's basically me finally letting him go. It feels incredible to finally get rid of something so toxic" Scott didn't say anything, he just sat and listened. He could tell she's been through some shit just like him and it made him respect her even more as a person because he can see that she's much happier now and can tell she's a strong spirit. "That's fucking dope. I'm truly glad that you're in a better place now. It's pretty noticeable actually. I've been through so much shit as well to the point where I wanted to give up. I would treat the women who I would date like shit because I wasn't in the right mind. I wasn't truly happy with myself so I made them miserable so I knew I had to get a reality check. I was a broken man who needed to do what's best for myself and for my daughter. I needed to find peace and to be better." She wiped a tear from her eyes feeling happiness as they expressed the things that they've gone through. Not only he was able to collaborate with her but they could built such a great friendship because they have so many things in common. "It's phenomenal that you saw the damage you were causing the women in your life, to yourself and took the time to focus on you. You needed to be better for yourself and your little girl. I can see the light in your smile, in your eyes. You can't be in love with someone until you love yourself. I've learned that.. I hurt someone {Abel} just because I thought I could ignore the hurt that I was feeling on the inside. But I'm human, I'm going to fuck up but I'm still going to stay vulnerable." He leaned forward and gave her a hug with her hugging back. "I know we don't have any alcohol or anything but cheers to a sweeter place" he told her. They held each other for a couple of minutes before pulling back he then leaned forward and wiped a tear from her eye. They didn't expect to have such a powerful connection. They felt like they've known each other forever. The next day they finished the entire record and decided to order pizza to celebrate. "So on a scale from 1-10 how hyped are you to let your fans hear the album?" She told him wasn't finished but she gave it a 10. She explained that it's been forever since she has had an album, since Revival. She's more excited for this one because she has wrote all the lyrics and it's beyond personal. She wanted to let everyone know what she's been through these past years. "Like I said it's no finished yet but when I finish it, I would love for you to hear it" she told him. "I can't wait to hear it" he told her.
