I Want A Boyfriend

After her trip Selena walked in the studio "I want a boyfriend" Julia and Justin looked over at her. "I think— I've been single for 2 years and it's something that I really want." They decided to write about it with 'I want a boyfriend' as the hook. "So what kind of boyfriend are you looking for?" Julia asked while writing down some ideas. Selena thought deeply before saying "a guy like Scott" she stopped writing and looked at her including Justin. "Scott? Honey who is Scott?" Julia asked before Selena explained. "Scott Mescudi, Kid Cudi. Not saying him but someone like him" she told them. "What do you mean by that?" Justin asked her. "He's so genuine, sweet, and he's just so down to earth. I love that about him. I need a man like that." Justin looked at Julia with a impressive look on his face. "Sweetie, sorry for cutting you off but why find someone like him when clearly you're crushing on him hard. Go get that bbc" Justin expressed which made Selena and Julia laugh at the last part. "I'm not crushing on him. He's my friend, I just love his vibe..." Julia payed attention to her body language when she spoke about him. She can tell Selena was feeling him. "If you don't have a crush on him then I don't know what it is because you don't go around saying you want to have a boyfriend like someone who happens to be just a friend." Selena didn't think she had a crush on Scott, she adores his friendship but doesn't understand what Justin and Julia saw that she didn't see. "How long have you two been friends?" Selena told them since they recorded 'A Sweeter Place' and explained that they kept in touch since. "So you two talk daily? Sis you might as well call him your boyfriend" she laughed at Justin before shaking her head. "Can't a guy and a girl be friends?" Selena was blushing with a smile on her face. Not just a regular smile but one that shows she's glowing. "A guy and a girl can be friends but the type of friends you two are, no. You will definitely turn into something much more you might not see it right now but you will. I wouldn't blame you for going for Kid Cudi because he's been down the same route as you and now you both are in a way better place now" Julia explained. "I feel like you should do whatever it is that you want. Date whoever it is that you want. If it's with Kid Cudi or what's his real name honey?" Selena told him Scott with a smile "yeah if it's with Scott then go for it. I know you're afraid of rejection and you don't even have to tell us you like him but if you do like him and scared that he might reject you then flirt with him honey. Try to make it at least obvious." Selena appreciated the advice but she stuck by what she's been saying, she told them Scott is just a friend. "I appreciate all of the advice but I don't see Scott in that way" Justin and Julia didn't believe her but they didn't want to talk about it anymore. They wrote down more lyrics for the song then recorded the song afterwards.

Scott was with his daughter sitting on the couch she was watching Wizards of Waverly Place when he was listening to his copy of 'A Sweeter Place' on his beats. He was amazed by the art they just made. He was happy that she trusted him with it and allowed him to do whatever he wanted to it. He regretted not being able to take a picture with her because that would've been nice to have in his camera roll. He then went to YouTube and started watching some of her old videos. Powerful ones including her AMA's acceptance speech. Vada tapped his shoulder, he took his headphones out. "Yes baby?" He paused the video, she saw that her dad was watching a video of Selena. "I'm hungry" she told him. "I'll make you something" he stood up and walked in the kitchen with her following. "Can I ask you something?" She watched him open the refrigerator "you can ask me anything" he told her. "Daddy do you have a crush on Selena?" He looked over his shoulder seeing his 9 year old was serious. "No" he took out French fries from the freezer. "I think she's very pretty and last time I checked, she's single and probably looking for an awesome boyfriend. I know a guy but he has to be the one to shoot his shot" she smiled at her dad before walking out the kitchen. Later on his friends Timothée and Kanye came by to discuss a few things work related. "Yeah I want you to come out on stage with me bro, that'll be dope" Scott told Timothée. "That'll be dope the fans will love it" Scott's phone went off and it was Selena. "Hold on" he answered the phone "Hey Selena, can I call you back in about 30 minutes?" Timothée sat and listened, Kanye looked at Timothée mouthing if he was talking to Selena as in Gomez. "of course you can I didn't really need anything just wanted to see how you were doing. I'll talk to you in 30 minutes" she told him. "So Selena, huh? You two are definitely close now" Timothée told Scott. "What do you mean definitely close? Are you two fucking or some shit" Kanye asked trying to understand where this is going. "No we're not fucking. I have much respect for her to do that. She and I worked on a song that'll be on her new album. She's incredible, I love talking to her. We talk every day actually, since recording the song together." Kanye had no idea and as much as Timothée wanted Abel to get back with Selena he didn't think it would happen especially when Scott and her are talking everyday. Plus he does want Scott to be happy after all the shit he's been through. Something told him their friendship is going to turn into something much serious. "I think you should get on with her Despite her history of hate towards me" Scott knew it was because Taylor is best friends with Selena. With everything that has happened in the past how could she not dislike him? "She's good people and I can tell you two have such a great vibe" Timothée responded. "That we do have and I love that. I know I said we're just friends but I think about her daily and smile like a fool when we FaceTime each other." Not only did Julia and Justin see something in Selena and Scott but also Timothée and somewhat Kanye. "I'm just a little curious I see you and her are close, what if it turns into something serious? What if she starts developing feelings for you?" Timothée waited for answer as Scott had to think about what he was going to say. "I don't know man.. I never thought about it actually. We are close, we do talk everyday, I sorta feel the flirtatious vibes coming from her, but it could be friendly because she's such a sweet person but I guess if she was to say something about her liking me more than a friend then I would most definitely give it a shot" he told him truthfully. "I guess you can say I have a little crush on her, who wouldn't though? She's good people, she has an incredible heart."
