As they were all talking, I can feel Trevor's eyes still on me. I have this feeling that I know him from somewhere, but there's no way I would've forgotten about him. He's just so mesmerizing."So Janet how did you meet Mary and James?" Trevor asked with curiosity.
"Oh well, I met Mary in my neighborhood while I was walking a friends dog, and me and James go to the same school" I replied with a smile
Trevor nodded his head. I don't know why but for some reason I felt like he had a look of jealousy in his eyes at the mention that me and James went to the same school.
"How come I've never seen you hang out with them before, especially if you and James went to the same school" he pushed
I started to feel a little bit uncomfortable and looked over to Mary and James.
"Well me and her don't go to the same school, so we met a couple days ago" Mary responded
"How about you James? How come you never brought her to meet the gang?" Trevor looked at James.
"Because we're not friends" James said with a nonchalant look on his face.
I would say I'm surprised but not really, I already knew that me and James were not even mere acquaintances in his eyes.
Trevor stared at James for a few more seconds then sighed.
"What a relief, for some reason I thought you were trying to hide a very beautiful gem from us" Trevor smirked.
I felt heat running into my cheeks and neck. I looked down to the ground hoping nobody will notice.
I cleared my throat and looked back up only to catch James staring at me. We locked eyes for what felt like 10 mins and then he looked to the right at some brunette passing by, breaking whatever trance it felt like we were in.
He must have like a weird kink when it came to females with brown hair
"Well I think it's time to go for me, I'll see you guys next time" Trevor stood up and grabbed his skate board he said bye to everyone and then reached me,
"Hopefully next time we see each other we can catch up a bit more" he smiled and then waved goodbye.I watched him skate down the pathway until he disappeared behind some trees.
"Did you guys like meet before?" Mary asked
"I'm not sure he seems familiar but I can't really remember him" I said truthfully
"Oh well he definitely remembers he was acting very weird today, it was kind of like he was confronting James about you too"
"I don't know but the whole interaction was very awkward" I said
A phone started ringing and James reached into his pocket and picked it up. He was on the phone for about 5 mins then hung up.
I watched as he stood up, placed his hoodie over his head and started walking away.
"Well bye to you too!" Mary yelled out. He ignored her and kept walking.
"Where's he off to?" I asked out of curiosity
"Oh I don't know, he always gets short random phone calls and then hangs up without saying anything and disappears" Mary shrugged
That's very weird, he gets a phone call and never once answers who's ever in the other line? Yea first time I've heard of that. Not even a goodbye when they finish.
"Anyway I think it's time for us to go, it's getting dark and I already know your parents are probably waiting for you" Mary said as she started packing up.
