All I could remember was screaming, crying, and pain. Lots and lots of pain. When I woke later that morning, that's all I could bare. I could only scream, cry, and shake in pain. Jeff and Clint had to tend to everyone elses needs, Minho was nowhere to be found, Newt was shaking beside me, with bloodshot eyes and burns on his hands. Newt saved me, Newt saved my life. I sat beside a grave looking Newt, shirtless. Only in my bra and jeans as Jeff pressed a cold cloth against my burns. I winced whenever he dabbed the awfully painful cloth against my skin. Thomas had his arms around Teresa's waist, she had fallen asleep on him, her face buried into his chest. Thomas looked only the slightest bit uncomfortable, but he obviously had more important things on his mind. Jeff grabbed some form of bandage and wrapped it around my waist for a few minutes, then he clipped it. A cold soothing feeling radiating off of the strange bandage.

"It was made for burns," Jeff had told me, "They sent a bunch of them up when they sent Teresa, like the Creators knew about the ambush of the Grievers."

I scowled, pulling my shirt over my head, "They didn't just know, they planned it."

Jeff didn't respond, his frown just deepened and he began to tend to Newt's wounds. Newt hissed as Jeff touched his neck, a big red burn went from his collarbone to around and over his neck, ending at his shoulder blade. He got that because of me, and I'd never forgive myself because of that. Alby was alive, but barely. He was in critical condition and at that moment he was lying down on one of the few matresses they had brought out from the Homestead. A few other Gladers were asleep on them, they had been injured in the other fires, one boy had been visiting his old friends grave in the Deadheads when everyone started yelling and screaming and the fires were started, he made it out with burns almost fully covering his arms. He had to pry away branches that were slightly burning as he ran out of the tree grove. Another four had hidden in the fields, hoping the Grievers couldn't see them while they all stood inside the field of wheat that towered above most of their heads. When the Griever lit fire to it, they all thought they had been seen, but I doubted it highly. They burnt the Deadheads and there was only one boy in there, they burnt the Map room and there was only Alby in there, they burnt the field because there were four boys in there. No, they were disintegrating our resources. In the Deadheads was where we kept fertiliser for the crops, the fields were where we had all of our crops, and the maps were our key out of here. But the Maps weren't in the Map room, which meant they still had to be somewhere.

"Where's Minho?" I asked quietly, turning to look at Newt.

Newt sighed, "The Slammer."

"Why is he there?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Newt groaned rolling his eyes, "Do you remember the part where you ran out of the Glade because almost everyone wanted to Banish you and your friends?"

I scrunched up my face in disgust, "Oh yeah, right."

"Well he tried to follow you guys out. But he stopped and asked why you were running away. Then Winston opened his big mouth and Minho punched him. Then Gally and I had to get behind him and restrain him. He was bloody mad as shuck," Newt informed me, "Plus we didn't want him out there with you guys. So we locked him up in the Slammer. I wouldn't be surprised if he saw everything that had happened with the Grievers."

I frowned, "At least he's okay," I mumbled shrugging, "Why haven't the doors close? We got there just before they were supposed to close didn't we?"

Newt looked at me like I was crazy, "You got there bloody ten minutes after they should of shut. That's why everyone was around a door, we were waitin' to see if they would or not. Now the sky is grey, no clouds, no sun, no nothin'."

I looked up at the sky and he was right, "If the sky was fake and it was just some dome over the maze, then how did the crops grow? How did we get our source of vitamin D?"

Newt's eyebrows furrowed and he looked at the ground and sighed, "I don't know."

"Newt," he looked up locking eyes with me, "Where'd you put the maps?"

His eyes widened, "How'd you know I hid them?"

"Well you just admited to it," I chuckled putting a piece of my hair behind my hair, "We need them. They're our ticket out of here."

Newt shook his head, "There's no way, we've looked them over, every section's map to the one the day before. If that makes sense."

"What you're saying is you looked them over within their own section, you didn't look them over with the other sections?" I asked, a little confused.

Newt nodded, "Basically. Alright, Thomas you go and get the Maps, they're a big wooden trunk in Alby's room."

Thomas gentely moved Teresa's body off of him. Then he stood up and jogged off towards the Homestead.

"We'll meet you there Tommy, we're going to go get Minho!" Newt yelled.

Alright. Thomas responded through our telepathic connection.

"Good that," I smiled, "Let's go."

Newt and I took our time, walking over to the Slammer in a comfortable silence. When we got to the door, I was tapped on the shoulder. I turned around and looked down to see Chuck half-smiling at me.

"Hey buddy," I laughed ruffling his hair with my hand, "You okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine." he grinned.

"Good that." I giggled.

He frowned slightly, "But are you okay?"

"No," his frown deepened, "But I'm getting there. I'm gonna be fine."

"Uh Ellise.." Newt called.

I turned and looked at him with raised eyebrows, "What is it?"

He grabbed ahold of the lock on the Slammer door which was unlocked. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Newt what is it?" I asked impatiently.

"Minho's not here."
