My Birthday Wish~Taekai/Taening

Chapter 8

  Taehyun was looking up to the sky. The stars was bright tonight. They illuminate as a   flashlight throughout the night sky. Releasing their brilliant essence before the sun come back up to greet a hello and a good morning to everyone on one side of the earth to the next.

Huening Kai admire the boy and the stars. 

Taehyun peck over his shoulder and smile at the tall boy.

"Oh Hello Kai."

"Hey Taennie, what you doing out here?" As he walks closer to the boy.

Taehyun flash a small smile looking at the sky once more.

"I was just thinking about some things….that all."

Huening Kai nodded. 

"While, you can always talk to me you know...we can like….think about things together." He rubbed at his head smiling at Taehyun. 

Taehyun giggled. He turned his full attention to Kai.

"Kai do you believe in wishes?" 

The boy was taken aback for a moment. A wish? Why did Taehyun ask him about that. 

"While...I guess I believe in them in a way?"

Taehyun looks him dead set into his eyes. Kai was just confused about the sudden question. he shifted his feet feeling Taehyun eyes watched his every moment.

"But why did you ask," Kai tilted his head to side and he stares at his best friend.

"Because If they really do come true…..then I want them to grant my one wish I have."

"What is that wish?"

"That wish? It for my crush to like me back." He sighed.

-Huening Kai- 

My pulse quickened. Taehyun likes someone? My friend likes someone and I been here trying to get rid of my feelings for him. While I could of been helping him get with that person instead. 

Sure it was sad to think about... but me being a friend comes first before my little crush on my friend that doesn't even like me in that way at all. 

I took a deep breath and decided to finally ask him who his crush was.

"Who is it? Your Crush I mean."

He froze for a sec. It seems like he is thinking on whether to tell me or not. He finally gave an answer looking straight at me.

"It you Kai."

Now this is a time when I feel everything move in slow motion. My head couldn't of heard it correctly….right? 

"It has been some time now that I know this. But I couldn't stand to ruin our relationship so I kept quiet...but I just couldn't keep these feelings in." 

Wishes.

That what all I could think about. I remember when I was staring at my candles on my cake the boys brought for me.

I close my eyes and unconscious wish that just maybe….that Taehyun will like me back. That we will be together. Trust me that wasn't supposed to be my wish but it ended up wishing for it anyway. 

Now Taehyun is telling me his feelings for his crush! Which ended up being me? 

He looked at me and smile sadly.

"I hope this won't ruin anything between us Kai…" 

He was turning to walk away until I quickly grabbed his hand.
