********************
You walked around the woods, looking around and humming your favorite song from Stevie Nicks. You left early in the morning to take a walk around the city and buy some stuff you knew you needed; firstly food. After that, you lost track of time and decided to walk around the city until you got back to the woods. You had been trying to think what you wanted to do with your life. New powers were showing, you couldn't control them and hide them anymore and that was scary for you.
As much as you wanted, you tried to keep them inside, tried to hide them but now that you were growing up, you knew it was going to be harder to keep them hidden. It has been just a few months since you ran away from your house and found yourself in the woods, trying to survive on your own. You had only grabbed your guitar, a backpack and a small bag with some of your clothes and some of your favorite stuff; not that you had lots of things either way. Since young, you had noticed that none of your family loved you, expect for your aunt, who had died just a year ago and since then, things had come worse for you. She had explained the whole witch thing, your grandmother was also a witch and even if none of her daughters had become one, the luck fell on you.
You tried to stay home, be part of your family, but none of them wanted you, not even your brothers and sister. What was the point of staying and everyone hated you? So, one night, you decided you were done, grabbed your stuff and ran away, they wouldn't mind either way, you were sure they were going to be happy about it. You were already 22, you had finished college, drawing was your passion, so was music. That's all you needed in life. But even then, with your shitty life, you found the light that your heart needed, a simple spark from a simple girl; a witch. A girl who has been out in the woods for years and she knew more about nature that you could ever imagine. She gave you a space to live, a space to sleep. She had saved you. She gave you life.
She then took you to the academy, a place that you knew was special for her for how much she had talked about it. And how much she also mentioned the Supreme. You had stayed for a few weeks until you wanted to come back to the woods alone with Misty and since Misty liked the idea, you both went back to the cabin. Even if you knew that Cordelia hadn't totally agreed, and Misty wasn't as convinced as she had been after everyone telling them to not go.
"Mist?" You asked quietly, thinking that maybe she was asleep.
Misty got up from the bed and walked to you, wrapping her arms around you and giving you a soft kiss on your forehead. "Where have ya been, pretty girl?" She asked softly as she looked down at you. A bright smile on her face.
You chuckled at the small kiss, staring up at her and smiling. "Brought some breakfast and some fruits. I was dreaming about apples." You chuckled as you placed the bags on the table. "I sold two of my drawings at good prices so I thought I could buy us some breakfast." You smiled as you looked back at Misty.
Misty nodded. "Thanks, dalin'." She walked to the table to look inside the bags and smiled widely. "Pancakes. Nice." She grinned as she looked at you.
"Only want to make you happy." You winked at her as you got the boxes out of the bag.
"Oh, Cordelia stopped earlier." She said a little serious.
You turned to look at her, a confused look on your face. "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah well...she just...wanted to check in and um...she wanna know if we are goin' back." She bit her lip, this only meant she had been thinking about it and she was nervous to know what you thought.
"Is this because she wants me to control my powers?" You asked a little annoyed, having heard this conversation before.
Misty shrugged and shook her head. "She only worries, y'know? I mean...it ain't bad. She taught me a lot and I got to control mine."
You nodded, knowing this was going to go in the same direction that it always did. "We had this conversation, Mist. I just...I don't wanna control them. I don't want to make them present. I want them to stay in the very back of myself, so I won't work on them. We've talked about this."
Misty nodded. "But...Cordelia sees potential in ya, y/n. I just-"
"She also saw potential in you, Mist. And what happened? I don't think you wanna go down that road again." You said as you started walking around the small cabin.
Misty went silent for a few minutes, unsure of what else she could say. She knew that wasn't the only reason you were acting like this. She had heard it from Zoe, from Queenie, even Mallory had been trying to make her see everything; everyone thought Cordelia and Misty were dating. They were so close that it was impossible not to think that they were together. The moment Misty had taken you there, you felt at home until you heard everyone talking, you saw every moment Cordelia and Misty had spent together and as selfish as it was...you had been jealous about it.
Misty walked slowly in your direction, placing her hands on your shoulders to stop you. "This isn't only 'bout that. Is it?" She asked quietly as she placed her finger under your chin to make you look up at her. "This is about Cordelia."
You felt your heart stopping for a second, knowing that you had been caught. You shook your head and sighed. "Cordelia is nice...I appreciate her for being so nice to me...she also gave me a space to live and...she made me feel okay. But..." she shrugged. "...just everyone talking about it. Seeing you..." you looked back down. "It's so wrong...I shouldn't be like this, I shouldn't..." you licked your lips. "It's not fair to you. I took you out of that place and you didn't-"
"I wanted to." Misty interrupted you as she placed her hands on your cheeks. "I wanted. Y/n...y'hadn't understand it yet, have ya?" She smiled a little. "I love you."
You looked up at the words, wide eyes staring back at ocean eyes. "You...I...what?"
Misty giggled and leaned down to leave a simple kiss on your lips. "I love ya, ya silly girl. I want ya and I wanted to have ya for my own." She said softly as she smiled. "And I know 'bout that and Cordelia and I laugh 'bout it cause she's like my older sister. I love her, but only as my best friend." She shook her head. "What ya and I have...it's somethin' special that I never thought I'd have."
Your heart softened at the simple words, feeling your heartbeat increasing. A silly smile appeared on your face as you placed your hands on Misty's wait. "I love you...so much." You chuckled as you kissed her lips again. When the kiss broke apart, you nodded slowly. "Let's make a deal...we go back to the academy...but we stay every weekend here. Unless we have an activity there...but when we have a chance...we come. Deal?" You smiled.
Misty nodded. "Deal." She smiled as she kissed your nose.
"I'm so sorry." You whispered softly.
Misty shushed you as she kissed your lips, whispering against them. "The past is the past." She giggled. "Let's eat and enjoy our day before goin' back to the academy." She grabbed your hand and pulled you back to the table.
