**********
Cordelia have been through hell before. She had lived it in real time and gone through her real hell. She had been strong and hadn't even complained about it, but that's because before becoming a Supreme, before her mother dying, every single day, every single minute and second, she was in a living hell. She was so used to her mother throwing her shit, she was used to hear how worthless and stupid she was. Everything she had seen in her hell, she had lived it before. For so many years. So, it was no surprise to her when she got to her actual hell and saw Fiona in there, hearing the same words she has heard every single day before she died. It was easy for her to go through that, to get out of there because she didn't believe in those words anymore and she had a purpose to get out of that place.
But Misty...she was another case. She was an innocent girl, she knew evil, she had done bad things too, and yet, that didn't make her a bad person. She had gone through things she never deserved. And if she had gone through hell, was because of Cordelia. Because she convinced her to do the Seven Wonders when Misty wasn't even ready for them. Myrtle had convinced Cordelia that she could be the Supreme, even if Misty hadn't shown any other power than resurrection, also getting drawn by the living and the death whenever she was needed. And even if she was powerful, there was still a fearful young girl who didn't want to become the Supreme. She only wanted to find her tribe and be protected. That's something that Cordelia ignored and convinced her to continue.
Now that she was back, for some reason Cordelia had thought that she would get back to the way she was, seeing her for the first time, it seemed like everything was going to be okay, but even with that thought, she had a back-up plan which involved helping Misty with her magic and also teach her new things so she could get ahead the new girls -of course, not wanting her to present the Seven Wonders. Not again-. But after that scene that night...it had only become harder for both of them. Misty barely slept, she barely said any word. She hadn't mentioned anything about hell or about why she had reacted that way. She had only said that it brought memories back and she felt like she was going back; she had mentioned some voices, someone in her head, but nothing else was said.
Cordelia watched her every single day for the past 4 months. Yes, it's been 4 months since that scene has happened and it was not the last time that it did. It had happened for a few other nights. They were both sleeping and Cordelia would wake up to Misty screaming to let her go. It made Cordelia's heart shatter, not exactly knowing what to do. She had tried everything, she got rid of the rings because she now understood that was the first thing that brought Misty's memories back, she had tried to keep her away from frogs and even from the classrooms because it seemed like it was also a trigger for her. She had thought further about it, trying to make it match and for her to make sense why Misty reacted in such a way; classrooms and frogs...she had so much in mind that she couldn't quiet come to a conclusion.
After sleepless nights for both of them, Cordelia had to do what she didn't want to do; she had decided to give Misty a tea before sleeping, putting a little spell for her to sleep all nights, closing her mind at night so the memories couldn't wake her up and her unconscious mind wouldn't form any nightmare related to her hell. She didn't want to use spells on Misty but she had to find a way for her to sleep and if it worked, she was going to have to do this every single night. She hated to see Misty so tired, she was a walking zombie, even Zoe and Queenie had worried faces every time they saw her. She had tried to take Misty to the greenhouse or at least show her some new spells or help her practice in their room, but Misty always ended up saying that she wouldn't be able to do it anymore, that she had lost her footing and she was never going to get it back. It broke Cordelia's heart to know that Misty didn't believe in herself anymore, it made her upset some time that Misty was so negative but she also understood where she came from, so, she let it happen. On the 3th month, Mallory had told her the truth, that she had been the one who had the chance to get her out but she didn't know either what Misty had gone through. Cordelia felt helpless, she couldn't find any other way to help Misty if she didn't talk about what she was feeling, but she also didn't want to push too hard.
