Spin the Bottle

     A little unoriginal, I know. But I think Spin the Bottle/ Truth or Dare scenes are cute, so I decided to try one :)

         The pizza box was empty, and that made Nico upset.

        The only reason he had agreed to come to this stupid party was because he heard there was going to be pizza. And because Will invited him. As a friend, of course. Will only saw Nico as a friend, which is what Nico should have wanted. But he didn't. And that made him even more upset than the fact that there was no more pizza.

          "Okay" Percy said. He liked to throw parties and then be bossy at said party. "Now that we're done with this movie, were going to play some games. First, truth or dare." An evil grin spread across his face, and Nico knew he was not going to like this.

        "Annabeth, you're first. Truth or dare?" Percy said, smirking at his girlfriend.

        "Dare" Annabeth said confidently.

        "Okay" Percy said, sounding thoughtful. "I dare you to... sit on Jason's lap for 5 rounds.

          Jason, who was a little bit (Okay, a lot) drunk, looked really confused, as to why Annabeth settled herself on his lap. "Hun" he slurred "Your boyfriens righthere. And my girlfriens will get mad" Annabeth and Piper both just rolled their eyes.

         "Hazel. It's your turn. Truth or dare?" Annabeth turned on her friend.

         "D-dare?" Hazel nervously stuttered out. Nico could tell that she hated this a such as he did.

 

         "Okay" Annabeth smiled. "Kiss Leo."

        "Who wans to kisssuper sized mcsizzle?" Leo, who was also drunk, stumbled over to Hazel. Nico grimaced. Even if he didn't have to kiss anyone, this was going to be painful.

         It wasn't that bad. Nico got off pretty easy. All he had to do was write "Ghost King" on his underwear, and admit that he had never had a girlfriend. Will also didn't have to do much. He had to kiss Piper (which made Nico super jealous, unfortunately), and then he also admitted that he had never had a girlfriend.

         That shocked Nico a little bit. He always figured a hot, nice, funny guy like Will, he would have dated someone before. Nico was sure there were plenty of girls at camp who would date Will. Or guys, for that matter.

       "Okay, this is getting boring." Percy announced. "We should play something new. We should play... spin the bottle."

       Nico wanted to protest. He really did. Spin the bottle meant he definitely had to kiss someone. He wanted to say something. But he didn't.

       Will clearly noticed that Nico looked nervous, and asked him "You all right? We can head home if we need to."

       "I'm fine. Just don't want to spin this stupid bottle." Will just laughed.

      "I go first." Percy announced. "And no changing. I don't care if it lands on someone the same gender, if it lands on your sibling, or whatever. You have to kiss them. On the lips."

       Percy spun the beer bottle, and it landed on... Jason. Jason noticed the bottle pointed at him, and mumbled. "Whose kissin me? Hopeits Piper." Percy leaned over and just slightly pecked his lips, but Jason was too drunk to see who was kissing him, and tried to wrap his arms around Percy and pull him down onto him.

       "Hey bro, let go of me. I ain't about that life." Percy shoved Jason off and told him to spin the bottle. Jason landed on Piper, and someone actually had to pull them apart to get the kiss to stop. Piper spun Hazel, and just quickly kissed her. Hazel still looked appalled. Then Hazel spun and got Nico.

       Nico grimaced, but knew it could be worse. Hazel was his sister, so it wouldn't mean anything. She still looked as horrified as Nico felt. But she kissed him quickly. But now he had to spin. He saw no way this could end well.

       Nico grabbed the beer bottle and gave it a quick spin. It did a couple full spins before landing right next to him. On Will.

       Nico could have cried. This was not what he wanted.

       Yes it is, the little voice in his head said.

       Shut up me, Nico snapped back inside his head.

       Nico liked Will, as more than a friend. But he knew Will didn't like him the same way. And he didn't want to ruin their newly formed friendship with one drunk kiss.

       Will was looking at him with a look that Nico couldn't decipher. If he didn't know  better, he would almost say it was excitement.

       Nico wanted the flick the bottle slightly, to the next person. He wanted to act like he was too drunk and pretend to pass out. But he couldn't. Every one was staring at him.

       Fuck it, he thought. I can pretend I don't know what I'm doing. Then he leaned over and pressed his lips to Will 's.

        For a second Nico was on Cloud 9. Kissing Will was euphoria. But then he came crashing back to earth. He quickly pulled away from the older boy and looked down, embarrassed. Will cleared his throat and addressed everyone else.

       "I think I need to head home. I don't want to be sick, tired, and hungover tomorrow."

       "Okay." Percy said. "So... bye."

       Nico stood up and followed Will out of the place. He hopped in Will 's car, still feeling awkward. "H-hey, I'm really sorry." Nico muttered. "You know, about, um, kissing you."

       "Don't feel sorry. You had to do it." Will said. The he added, more quietly: "I liked it, anyway."

       "What was that?" Nico asked, sure Will hadn't said what he thought he had said.

       "Nothing. It was nothing. We should be home soon."

       Nico nodded, then stared out the window at the night sky. What Will didn't know was that Nico had great hearing, and knew exactly what he had said. He smiled slightly. Maybe something would happen after all.

        So there's that. The ending probably isn't great, because I wrote it at midnight. Future edits, here we come. Sometime in the future, I will probably do a continuation of this storyline, but this is a good place to leave it for now.

        I may or may not update next Tuesday, because I will be traveling for the holidays. But if I have time, I will write another chapter. :)
