Lydia's pov
"Where are we?"
"We're on the shadowhunters set."
I grin looking around the now familiar set up.
"Matt? Dom? Harry?"
She reads of names from the back of some of the chairs.
"Dom made it?"
She says with glossy eyes.
"Yeah. He made it."
I grin and she smiles.
"And what about you? Do you still draw?"
"No. Not since..."
"I died?"
She offers and I nod.
"What about dance? You always loved to dance."
"Yeah. I still dance."
I tell her and she nods approvingly. "Okay. I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and say that 'Matt' is the same Matt who hasn't left your side in a week?"
"Yeah."
I blush and she giggles.
"Great. Follow me."
She walks around props like shes been here a million times. I stop in my tracks when I see myself and Matt."Put me down!"
I screech hitting his back repeatedly. "Give me back my M&M's."
He says and i shake my head.
"Never!"
I say in a funny voice. Then he begins to spin me around quickly."That's not strong enough. Let's try this one."
She says, and as if by the click of a button, another memory replaces the old one."I can help with that."
I laugh, tapping my temples.
"Really? Because I've taken 2 aspirin but it hasn't even touched it."
He sighs and I laugh, and indicate he should come to me. He sits on his trailer couch next to me and I begin to slowly rub circular motions on his temples.
"Mhhm."
He groans and I chuckles.
"Where did you learn to do this?"
"Its a type of Japanese massage. It helps relieve the tension in the muscles and helps them relax. I learnt it a few months ago in Tokyo."
"Your amazing."
He says and I smile, then silence fills the air."Cute, but not it. What is it about him? You like him. Why haven't you told him?"
"Well theres the fact that hes my brothers best friend."
"Yeah, but that's not it."
"What do you-"
"Dom loves you. You know if you really wanted to be with Matt, he wouldn't stop you. In fact, I bet he'd be happy you finally settled down."
"I guess i just...everytime I let myself think about how much I like him, I think about Toby. Catching him kissing that girl...I can't relieve that Q. I can't."
I say with tears pricking my eyes. Quinn pauses for a moment then a sea of memories fly past me, ranging from the first time we met to maddies birthday where we fell asleep cuddling.
"Does that look like a man who is going to hurt you, Lydia?"
She says seriously and I shake my head no.
"To me, that looks like a man who is full of kindness and generosity and loyalty and...love. For you."
She says and my eyes widen slightly. "He loves me?"
I say shocked and she nods.
"Listen."
She says and I try my hardest to strain my hearing. After several moments of silence, I hear it. A soft voice whispering. Matt's voice. And he's crying.
"Hes broken."
Quinn says and i feel my eyes watering.
"He misses me?"
I say questioningly but she doesn't answer. Realisation strikes me and I grin.
"He loves me! Hes not mean or rude like Toby. And he will not cheat on me. I need to wake up. I need to open my eyes! Quinn-I-I need to tell him I love him. Before it's to late."
I say frantically and she just smiles. Before she can say anything, a white light appears.
"Do me a favour. Get your notepad back out. Something tells me you'll have plenty of inspiration when you get back home."
She says and I nod, hugging her tightly.
"That's my ride."
She giggles walking towards the light. "I love you,Quinny."
"I love you more, Lydds. Now I don't want to see you for at least 60 years, okay?"
She grins and I laugh. I go to say something else but before I can, everything disappears into a black abyss. I focus on trying to move any part of my body, to show Matt that I know hes there. I focus on forcing my eyelids open, but to no avail.
Come on Lydia, wake up.
A voice says in the darkness, and I strain every muscle in my body, until I final feel it.
