Anti laid there in his bed, the constant thrumming through his head, as his light subtly glitched and surged. Chase sat there beside him on his desk chair with this sad look in his eyes. They were never super close but they weren't enemies either. Sure there were egos who didn't entirely hate him. Robbie was one who found friends in everyone. Marvin hasn't had a reason to hate him yet and... Shawn Flynn well... Anti's never actually met him.

The problem was this though... WHY THE FUCK DID CHASE FUCKING TAKE HIM AWAY?!  Anti winced as his chest tightened. He knew what was going on. This isn't the first time he's been in this situation before. The thing was he thought he learned from his past mistakes. He thought he realized he had to stop feeling. He closed himself off... became the very demon he was supposed to be but... Then He came along. At first, he meant nothing. Just another ego he would make hate him. He expected nothing different... Nothing would have been different but... His mistake was dreamscaping.

The ability to force your consciousness into another's dream hasn't been a power Anti uses often. Not unless he wanted to cause a nightmare. He thought that... if he dreamscaped and just observed he might finally actually learn something about his fellows... about Jack. He didn't want them to see that he was weak. He didn't want them to know he felt lonely... that he felt anything at all. He wasn't supposed to.

He watched silently as their dreams played on. Jackies wasn't entirely what he imagined. That hero had more nightmares than Anti actually expected. His flight power providing nothing to alleviate their collective fear of heights. At had only laughed as moved on the night he watched his. Although he wouldn't admit this, he did make a promise to lighten up his influence on the man.

Then is was Marvin. His was... weird. Marvin being so in tune with the mystical had prophetic dreams and Anti moved on from him very fast. He didn't want to see how many times he would snap and attack and get defeated... He just wanted acceptance. For once... Jack's dreams were pretty mundane, to be honest. There wasn't anything of note.

Chases were... well Anti felt he was intruding on precious time. One time he got caught though. Chase spotted him as he about to leave. Obviously there was an issue. Chase started freaking out trying to pull his kids away and Anti just... smiled. He wasn't there to cause a panic. He was there to learn. He wanted to learn and that was it. So he altered his own appearance a bit making himself look normal save for his scar on his neck and just smiled, playing the part of the adoring Uncle. He thought it would have been hard. After all, he isn't Dark. But one thing he will gratefully say... in the silence of his own mind... is that those kids were a nice difference from what he used to.

Chase, although scared, didn't push Anti away. Why would he? Anti wasn't acting like Anti and therefore couldn't be Anti and must instead be some weird dream version Chase's mind cooked up. So instead, Anti was allowed to be a part of it. He had never been apart of a good dream before let alone actually participate in any family gatherings. He didn't know how accurate these dream manifestations of Chases sons were but he felt... glad to have met them properly for once. His last interaction with them was not kind. Sure he never hurt them but he never spoke to them either. He simply locked them up in this room with a bunch of toys, food, and games and left.

The last one he actually got to see, now that was what got him. The moment he entered it he was enraptured. His walls were already down from seeing Chases kids. He honestly wasn't prepared. So when he saw him standing there in a field of such beautiful and vibrant colors. He wasn't prepared to see such bright and beaming blue eyes. He was used to the lack of saturation but now it seemed to be overflowing with it. He watched as He reached out and a glorious monarch butterfly landed on his finger. Anti was hit before he even realized. He couldn't get his smile out of his head. He tried... Oh god did he try but every attempt froze him up on the spot. He couldn't do it. His heart latched on to the man before he could even blink.

Then again that's just Anti. The one and only Demon who feels... and feels more than anyone ever should.

"Anti?" The demon growled not wanting to move or look over but he knew Chase wasn't going to go away. "Anti, what happened?"

"N-Noth-thing." Anti bit his lip over his ridiculous stutter. It was pathetic.

"The suns coming up..." Anti started getting up out of bed only to freeze as a hand stopped him in his place. "Don't move. You're hurt, Anti."

"I have t-to f-fix that sh-shit..." Anti's eyes met with Chases and he froze. That serious look he had sent shivers down his spine. It was a look of a father, that much was for sure. "P-Please, Ch-Chase?" Chase faltered giving Anti time to stumble to his feet and walk out the bedroom only to freeze.

'You just couldn't do it, could you?' Anti could feel the tears welling up in his eyes but he refused to let them show. Jamie glared at him as his own tears spilled heavily. 'You promised me you wouldn't do anything this time.'

"Jamie, I..." Anti froze up as the stinging in his cheek sparked an actual tear to fall from his eyes. The demon watched as the mute ran away as if afraid Anti would retaliate. He didn't. Instead, he just stood there frozen. His fingers brushed his cheek wiping the lonely tear away as he examined his fingers with lost confusion. He's a fucking demon. He shouldn't be crying yet...

"Anti?"

"Forget it, Brody." Anti swallowed his guilt as he shook his head trying hard not to relish the lack of physical pain he had now. He tried so hard to not give in to it but that was it. Jack wasn't going to let the trip happen. After this, Anti would never have to worry about it. That fact alone took all his pain away but... that was only his physical pain. It did nothing to ease his breaking heart. "I'm gonna find Jack."

"He wouldn't be..."

"Chase, JJ is up." Chase's face paled as Anti smiled through the tears that continued to fall. To see a demon cry was something no one would EVER be prepared for. "Jack has to be up too."
