Jamie was exhausted. He was tired and he was done. Cut after cut she hacked away yet... Despite the agony, it never caused much of a mess. Any mess that was made was immediately cleaned. She honestly reminded him of the Doctor. Henrik although aggressive and at times uncaring, never could handle a mess. Anti never cared.
JJ froze up as fresh tears fell from his eyes. He'd been here so long. So long... He was scared he'd never go home. He was here because of her... She wanted Jack. She wanted Jack because she got it in her head that Anti cared about him.
Anti doesn't care about anyone.
"Hey now, JJ. What's with the waterworks?" Jamie's eyes slowly moved up to meet those familiar blood red and he glared making her laugh. "You thinking about how this is Anti's fault." His face fell as he clenched his fists that unfamiliar rage coursing through him as she laughed. "I don't blame you. It kinda is. I mean... I told him to never let himself care for anyone. He's got a condition you see... Wait." Her eyes narrowed as he glanced over with this look in her eyes. "Did he ever tell you about his 'feelings'?" Jamie's face fell as she frowned and shook her head. "Fine. I guess I'll have to do it. It's better for you to know why you're dying anyway."
"Anti is an energy demon. I'm... I'm more of a dark demon, but that's beside the point." She sat down on her chair and laughed as her eyes glowed slightly. "Anti was created by all this chaotic EMOTIONAL energy coming together..." She carefully brought her hands together with this smirk before snapping her fingers. "... there he was. Jack tapped into that raw energy and gave it a form. Unfortunately, you can't change your core... and Anti at his core was always emotional." JJ's eyes narrowed in confusion as she draped herself across her chair. "He tried ignoring... Hiding it... Then just plainly stuffing it down but he always came back to our spot crying. Chase called me a glitch today because of my tick. Jackie pushed me off the swing. Henrik refused to listen. Jack sent me away... So many things... so many things upset him as we got older."
"Then there was that one time... He started to care about someone." JJ was highly confused. Anti was a demon. Demons don't feel. Yet here this woman was telling him the exact opposite about the very man that... that he... "She was another demon like us. Her host was actually with Jack so it sort of just fit. He thought she would understand him." Her eyes darkened as her voice dropped to a growl. "She didn't. She broke his heart sent him reeling. He was in so much pain... did you know that Anti if hurt emotionally will get hurt physically."
"By the horrified expression you have, I am going to assume... no." JJ was reeling himself. He struggled against the bonds again only making her laugh more at his attempts. It was pointless, but he had to get home. He had to. If what she is saying is true...
'I hate you, Anti.' JJ couldn't stop the tears that fell from his eyes. He could still see the hurt look in Anti's eyes. 'You don't mean that, right?' He could hear the way his voice cracked. If what she's saying is true then... then he... he must have hurt, Anti. Otherwise, why would Anti have looked at him the way he did. 'I hate you, Anti!'
"That's not even the worst of it..." Jamie crashed as his gaze fell to the floor. "When Anti cares about some... he literally latches onto them. I've seen it before. It's pathetic. He's my friend but Jesus he's such a baby..." JJ shifted roughly in his chair catching her eye as he glared daggers into her. She just scoffed as if his rage was comical. "When he's like this... he's a baby. He's already childish. I mean I care... well, actually no I do care about him. That's why I'm doing this. JJ... Why do you think he can't ever let you go on that trip huh? Why he can't just let Jack go?"
"When he finds someone he cares about he latches onto them. He literally becomes dependent. The very thought of being apart from them twists him up inside... it's practically murder." JJ's eyes widened in horrified shock as she just smiled. "If he were let the person he loves walk out the door and leave him behind... it might very well kill him." Jamie couldn't hold back the silent whimper that came out not that there was ever a chance to hear it. Tears fell freely as the women beamed.
"This is why I'm doing this. I've been watching over him. It's my job to protect him. He's so week... so fragile. We're friends. I kept tabs. I watched him closely. I paid attention. I'm a demon, I have my ways. When I saw he was falling again... When I saw him in pain... I had to help him. The only way I know how." She fake pouted as she looked over to see JJ lost in his thoughts. "He's gotten far to close to his host. He's the only one I can even think it would be. They talk all the time. They're practically friends. So... When I found you out and about... I realized I could use you to get to Jack!" She smiled with joy as she grabbed her knife happily. "Once I let him know what REALLY happened to you he'll come running. He'll die. You'll die... I can't have any witnesses sorry... than Anti can FINALLY move the fuck on!"
"It's sad though..." JJ frowned as she forced him to look up at her. "Your only in this mess because you failed to see the real Anti. Had any of you actually tried to see him... maybe he wouldn't have been suffering so fucking much."
