"Holy shit! I call dibs on being the god father!"

I was in too much shock to process what Eli had just said. I looked over at Knox to see that he was already staring at me, but he had a soft smile and a sparkle in his eyes.
"Thank you doc, when should we make an appointment with you to check the progress?" Knox said calmly, he was handling this much better than I was.

The pack doctor hummed before clearing his throat, "I would say a week from now. Just to make sure things are going smoothly." The pack doctor looked at Knox and I, "take prenatal vitamins, and make sure you're hydrated."

I nodded, still unable to get a single word out of my mouth.
Knox stopped the doctor with a question, "how long should the pregnancy be? My parents were pregnant with me for three months but my sister for six."

"Well," the pack doctor started, "full blood wolves in the wild have pregnancies that last just over two months. Humans, having pregnancies that last nine months. Seeing as we are both, pregnancies range in time. It's always different for each female. And seeing as you're both carrying alpha blood, the pregnancy may not be longer than seven months."

"Alright, wonderful. Thank you doc. We will see you in a week. I'll call to make sure the appointment is scheduled by tomorrow afternoon." Knox said as he grabbed my hand and held it in his.

The warmth of his hand, the smallest gesture to show he cares, gave me more tingles and explosions in my body than the Fourth of July.
As soon as the doctor left, Knox grabbed me a blanket to make sure I was cozy on the couch.
I told him I want to stay put seeing as the pains have subsided and I don't want to risk getting up and making them come back.

Eli decided we all needed a movie night in the living room, and since it was connected to the giant kitchen, he felt that it was only fair that we binge eat ice cream and sugary foods.

While Eli was busy in the kitchen, Knox kneeled beside me while I laid on the couch, "I love you." He whispered, "and I know you're scared, I am too, but we will get through this. One day at a time."

He placed a kiss on my forehead, then on my lips. He lifted the bottom part of my shirt to expose my stomach, placing a kiss on my exposed skin. His eyes looked back up into mine with a glint joy and fulfillment in them, "were having a pup my love."

"I-I know..." I froze for a short moment, "I'm scared."

Knox grabbed my hands and held them in his firmly, "darling, you don't need to be scared. I'm your mate, and I will always be there by your side to love and protect you. You are my family, my life and our pup that you're carrying is a sign of our love for one another. The moon goddess was planning this for us, we will be okay and we will come out stronger than when we started."

A tear escaped my eyes, "I love you so damn much Knox." I whispered as I sat up enough to be face to face with him, "thank you for calming me down and helping me."
