i turn into the hall and kick my flats off, my mom already sprinting towards me like a five year old to a ice cream van.
"how did it go?" my mom says looking at me. she smiles, i'm red and flustered.
"amaaazing.." i say collapsing into a hug with her.
"your lipstick is smudged.." my mom says licking her thumb and scratching at the side of my mouth.
"mom- stawp-" i say
"wait... you did didn't you...?" my mom says. "you kissed her? AWWWW"

"oh it totally was!!" i sigh like a love struck angel. i walk through the hall, my mom following like a lost puppy.
i collapse onto the sofa, the tv blaring with the news. my mom settled next to me.
"where did you go?" my mom asks.
"we went to the park. she set up a picnic." i say remembering the little scene of events. "she said the cutest things like she didn't care about my body... and how she will only do something with consent.."
"a classy woman, i love her!!" my mom says happily. she turns down the tv so she could hear me properly.
"me too." i say, laughing a bit. my mom smiles.
"i'm so happy for you honey, i'm so glad you've found someone." my mom says, she strokes my arm with her warm hand.
