we walk hand in hand, we pass the street and walk further down to the park.
the park was a stretch of grass, crisp cold air flowed through the street. the only audible thing was our footsteps and breath.
contrast to the cold was maihuas warm palm laced with my pink fingers.

"your stupid." maihua says.
"wow, okay. thank you for the honesty." i say rolling my eyes.
maihua chuckles.
"nooo, princess i mean your stupid for not bringing a jacket; it's the middle of winter" maihua says glanced at my goosebump-covered arms.
"yeah well some people are un attracted if a gurl doesn't show skin on a first date.." i mumble, sniffing.
"y/n. you do realise i'm not a sex-thirsty teenager." maihua says as she raises an eyebrow. "i couldn't care less if you were curvy or flat, if you had acne, stretch marks, or even if you didn't have hair!"
i look at her, she seemed unfased and she spat out the truth infront of me.
"you don't need to look sexy for me, you could of dressed up in a fucking dinosaur suit and i wouldn't even be mad." maihua says smiling, i smile back. "well no, i would be mad. but only because you didn't tell me we were gunna do this date looking like a jurassic park erotica."
i burst out laughing and maihua joins me. we walk into the park, a large oak tree centered into the plainland.
underneath the tree laid a plaid blanket along with fair lights glowing around the trunk of the tree, a picnic basket placed in the center.
maihua looks at me nervously, waiting for my reaction. i gasp.
"maihua.. this is.. beautiful!!" i yell as i run towards it, mesmerised.
"wait up!!!" maihua says as she watches me unexpectedly sprint towards the date scene. she runs as well.
i sit on the blanket softly, the dress floating around me.
maihua puffs as she sits down after me.
"you never fail to get my steps in," maihua says sarcastically wiping her forehead "catch me in the next 10 dates with power thighs and a sculpted butt."
