*Chris' POV*
When I wake up the next morning, it feels like I just woke up from a really good dream. There's no way that what I think happened, happened. I pinch myself extra hard on my left arm. Ouch, I think to myself. Maybe it wasn't all a dream. Maybe I did just wake up to my FIANCE.
I carefully get out of bed, making sure I don't wake Darren, who's snoring loudly yet adorably. I walk out of our bedroom and quietly close the door behind me. I look down at my ring finger. The sparkle of the beautiful diamond ring on my finger really sticks out in the dark hallway.
So it is real, I think to myself. I'm not dreaming. I am actually engaged to the love of my life.
I walk downstairs to the kitchen. Time to unlock my inner chef and make breakfast. What will it be today? Pancakes? French Toast?
NO.
Well, maybe. I decided that I should go with French toast. I gather all of my ingredients to dip the bread in. Once I get that all ready, I need to get the frying pan out, but it's not in its usual spot underneath the oven. Instead, I found it after 10 minutes, on the top shelf.
How did it get up there? Neither me nor Darren are tall enough to reach all the way up there without a chair!
I pull up a chair from the dining room and pull it up to the cabinet. I climb up on it and grab the frying pan. Little did I know that there were even more pots and pans inside the pan that I couldn't see, so when I pulled the frying pan out from the cabinet shelf, all of those other pots and pans came crashing out too. They it the floor with a loud BANG! And about two minutes later I hear Darren stomping down the stairs. And I know Darren verrrrrry well, so I know he is an absolute grump in the morning.
Uh oh, I have woken up the devil.
