Two months go by, and Darren and Chris could not be happier. Chris recently published a new book in his series, The Land Of Stories, and Darren finished filming another season of The Assassination of Gianni Versace. Late on a Thursday night, while sitting around the dining room table, Chris brings up a question.

"Do you think we should thank Kevin?"

"What for?"

"Well, he kind of helped us with our relationship. He told the world what we were both too scared to say. For fucks sake, had he NOT posted that tweet, you'd be in a marriage that you wouldn't want to be in! And we would basically just be friends with benefits while you're in a forced marriage."

"You know what? We should thank him. Hand me my phone please." Chris brings Darren his phone from the kitchen counter. Darren unlocks the phone, opens Twitter, and starts to compose a new tweet.

@darrencriss: Hey guys. I know I've been avoiding social media for a while, and I know I have some explaining to do, so here goes nothing. As you all may know, I am dating Chris Colfer. Which means I am gay. I've been questioning my sexuality for a while now, and I thought it was finally time to come clean and realize that I truly am gay. But right now, Chris and I would like to thank Kevin McHale. If it wasn't for him, I would have been married to someone that I never had any feelings for. Mia was just someone I used to deny the fact that I was gay. Anyways, Kevin told the world what Chris and I were to scared to say. So thank you Kevin for helping us out. Sorry for the long tweet, but I needed to come out of the closet eventually. I'm out and I couldn't be more proud about it. Thanks for understanding.

"How's this?" Darren shows Chris the tweet.

"Perfect." Chris says, standing up and putting his arms around Darren's neck. Darren takes a deep breath, hesitates, and finally posts the tweet.

"I'm so proud of you baby." Chris says, kissing his boyfriend's cheek.

"At first I was so mad at Kevin. I was like, 'Why would he do this to us?' But now I realized he did it to help us. I mean, that may not have been his first intention, but whatever he was trying to do did not work."

"I don't care what he was trying to do or not. He helped us greatly. Let's go to bed, it's getting late." Chris takes Darren's hand, and the two guys walk up the stairs. Darren stops halfway and looks deep into Chris's eyes.

"I'm the luckiest man in the world." he says.

Chris smiles back at him. "Yeah pretty much." He leans in to peck Darren on the lips. They continue up the stairs to their room, where they will have a good night's sleep for the first time since Darren's split with Mia.
