I woke to hear Meg yelling and shaking me out of bed. I grunted as I woke up.

"Wake up sleepy head! Get your things on we must be to the dance!" Meg yelled in my ear. I finally got the courage to get up and get ready. Meg had already ran out of the room.

Once I was out on the Opera stage everyone was in their positions. Meg pointed to me where I was to be. I nodded and walked over there. Madame Giry then came out to see everyone in position.

"Okay girls, now I was you all to do as I say. Do a twirl and spin in the air and land on your opposite leg." Madame Giry had instructed. I did as told, then glanced back at Meg. She was focused, but looked up and gave me a thumbs up.

All the girls tumbled to the group in the position Madame Giry had given us. I felt something or even someone staring at me. I looked up quickly and noticed nothing but darkness.

Madame Giry asked everyone to come together in a group to discuss the upcoming Opera. We all understood and I matched as the girls got in the position of what the sheet said that Madame Giry was holding.

We started dancing as Madame Giry watched us. Then the Monsieur's came to watch and I over heard them talking about the dancers.

"Who is that pretty blonde." "Oh and who is that beauty of light?" The Monsieur's asked. "That is my daughter Meg. And that is y/n she is new to the Opera. One of few to join." Madame Giry replied.

I continued to do as Madame Giry asked.  When suddenly I felt the same stare I had previously. I looked up quickly to notice a man in a black cloak and a white mask. I couldn't define the exact face, before the man moved into the darkness before I could notice his face.

We finished dancing and went back to the dancing rooms. I went to my room and sat on the bed and pulled out the note that the mysterious voice had given me. I wonder if that voice had been the man I saw.

I took my mind off from it and I softly sang the same song I auditioned for. When all of a sudden Madame Giry pushed through the door and grabbed me. I dropped the note on the floor. Soon after Madame had grabbed me Meg walked in and before I could go back and grab the note, Meg had already picked it up. I yelled no before the door shut and Meg began to read it.

Madame Giry shushed me. I fell silent.

"Y/n I need to give you something." Madame handed me a letter from the police station. I fell to the ground in anger and dismay. My father is dead. I started to weep and cry. Madame Giry fell to my level and held me. Soon Meg came out.

Meg noticed me on the ground holding the letter in one hand and the other covering my tears. Meg soon fell to the ground and hugged me.

Few minutes pass and I get back up. I went back to the room with my sadness. Even though my father was never the greatest I still cared for him. Meg walked in an hour later.

"Y/n, I-I want to speak with you." I look up at her and I already know what she's going to say. I nodded to her. "I noticed before my mother dragged you out of the room, you dropped a note." I nodded to her once again. She slowly handed me the note back. I took it from her.

"I-I hope you aren't mad I read it. But I agree with the note." I spoke softly in response to her."You were to not see the note. But I am not mad." She sat down on her bed. "Well I'm going to rest." I smiled to her and told her to sleep well. I sat awake for a while.

I was awake when I noticed Meg was fast asleep. The silent came back as I felt the darkness. The voice spoke to me.

"Your dancing is as good as your singing but it could be improved." I looked around. Nothing again. "I noticed you may have saw me. I do not mind." I recall seeing the man as I was dancing when I glanced up the the rafts. Could that be the man behind the voice I hear.

"I would like to give you this and meet me there. You'll soon see me." The voice spoke again and I noticed another note fly through the slit in the wall. I picked it up.

"Dear Y/n, meet me in box 5, at 11 o'clock sharp. I expect to see you. You'll meet me very very soon."

I quickly put on a night dress that was white and fell to my feet and long stockings with it. I quietly rushed out of the door of the room through a hallway that lead to the theater boxes. I found the one marked "BOX 5" I walked through the curtains and into the box.
