Three weeks later
Kennedy
"Kev go away" I groan trying to push him out the front door
"Man Kennedy stop fucking playing with me" he pushes the door open effortlessly pulling me into a hug, smacking my butt he kissed the top of my head "go put some shoes on, I told you I was taking you out today I don't know why you trippin"
"My baby is supposed to be coming over" I whine referring to Hezekiah, punching his chest softly
"He can come too, it's not that big of a deal" he waves me off checking his phone as he rings "it's my baby momma, be ready and out the house in ten minutes"
Nodding I went upstairs as he went into the kitchen yelling into his phone.
He and his baby momma aren't together from what he tells me, they're trying to co-parent but it's not working.
Putting on furry slides I went back downstairs grabbing my handbag, keys, and phone.
"Kenny, I'm here!" Hezekiah's baby voice shouts pushing the front door open with a huge smile plastered on his face "mommy gave me ten dollars for when the ice cream man comes"
"Wassup lil man" Kevin daps him up, wrapping an arm around my waist "you ready Kennedy?"
"Yeah" I nod picking up Hezekiah's car seat that sat by the door, Kevin took it going to his car
"Bring ya ass" he yells over his shoulder
"Shut up nigga" I roll my eyes locking the door, going to his car as Hezekiah tells me about the tv he's been watching
•
"You getting something from here?" Kevin asks me as we walked into the footlocker
"Nah, I have enough Jordan's for the time being"
"Auntie, can I get these?" Hezekiah pointed to blue retro fives
"Ask your uncle" I smile sarcastically at Kevin
"What's his shoe size?" Kevin questions taking the shoe from him, flagging down a person who works here
"Check his shoes" I shrug walking out of the store to the one across from it. Victoria's Secret
I picked out two sweatshirts, a few leggings, socks, a sports bra, a few thongs, and bra and under sets. When I got to the counter Kevin made his way into the store with Hezekiah beside him.
Kevin reached over to me handing his red debit card to the cashier as she told me the total.
Rolling my eyes I shoved my card back into my handbag saying a small 'thank you' to not only the cashier but to Kevin.
"Fix ya face" he smacked his lips taking the bags out of my hands
"Auntie, I'm hungry" Hezekiah groans rubbing his stomach
"I gotcha, lil man" Kevin leads us to the food court, Hezekiah takes his hand going over to the pizza line
"Ima find a table"
