Kennedy

"Boss lady" Shoota nods half asleep on my couch. "I was starting to think you weren't coming home"

"Had to wait until Kev went to sleep, he's been wanting to spend more time with me. I left Kiah over there, come on so I can get back before they wake up"

"You aren't going to change clothes first?" sitting up he wiped his eyes

"If I do that then Kevin will know I left, that is if he hasn't noticed already. I got clothes in the truck, I'll change later" gesturing for him to get up I went into the kitchen and took my meds.

Going upstairs I brushed my teeth before going back downstairs to see Shoota in the same spot.

"What are you waiting for? Get your ass in the truck" pulling him up I pushed him out the door. "I told you I gotta be back before they wake up and you just sitting on ya ass?"

"I was waiting for you, what the hell you mean?" he argues getting into the passenger seat

"You could've been doing that while sitting out here" waving him off I got into the driver's seat, I didn't have to start the engine because I left it on

"You sure you wanna meet up with him?"

"I don't have a choice, we need this deal" shrugging I turned out the driveway "I know how to keep things professional believe it or not"

"Y'all should just talk it out, I know you miss him"

Nodding I completely disregarded what he just said, listening to the radio.

"Who are we meeting with?" I ask looking up at Lucky blankly

I drove Shoota to the trap house and from there Lucky picked me up and now we're at a shipyard waiting on someone.

"Russian cartel" Lucky shrugs answering his phone when it rang

Nodding I interlocked my hands together leaning on a crate, two black cars swerve towards us stopping a few feet away.

Once they got out there cars they spoke to themselves in Russian before greeting us in English.

"Wassup" nodding I winked at the female who stood off to the side of the biggest man

"Don't wink at my wife!" the man shouts clinching his fist

"Why did it tickle your feathers?" smirking I pushed myself off the crate

"Kennedy, stop" Lucky mutters sending me a side glare. Turning to the Russians he cleared his throat. "were to make a deal so let's do it"

"How much are you willing to pay for the cocaine?" the shortest male questions stepping out of the group of men

"Since when we start selling crack?" I ask pulling Lucky backward. "I stopped putting that out in the streets when Jeremiah got addicted—"

"Times changed" snatching his arm away from he gave the Russians a price, which they agreed to

I excused myself going back to his car when I could feel my eye start to twitch.

He wanted me here for what? To slap that information in my face?

Closing my eyes I pinched the bridge of my nose, breathing in slowly I attempted to calm myself down.

"I need a hug from Kiah or baby K" bouncing my legs I heard the car door open before the engine started and the door closed

"You good?" Lucky questions

"Man fuck you, don't speak to me" scoffing I waved him off

"This my damn car—"

"I bought the shit but you right" opening the door I got out not bothering to close it behind me.

Walking in the direction we came in from I took out my phone dialing my personal driver's number.

"Hello?"

"Come pick me up from the shipyard" hanging up I sent Shoota a text telling him to take my truck to Kevin's house.

"Kennedy get back in the car"Lucky shouts driving behind me slowly

"Leave me the fuck alone before I shoot your damn car up"

Stripping out my clothes I laid down beside Kevin getting under the covers.

I tried laying my head on his chest but he pushed me away turning his back to me.

"Where you been Ken?" his voice came out raspy and deep

"I went home for a sec then to a meeting with Lucky" mumbling I tried to get him to face me again. "turn back around"

"You sure you weren't creeping in Dessi or Bubba's bed?"

"I wouldn't come back if I was" sitting up I looked over his shoulder getting a view of his face. "I wasn't playing about doing good by you Kev, I'm not stepping out on you. It was just business"

"Alright" nodding he flipped over pulling me flat against his chest, his hand moved down my backstopping under my butt. "where your clothes at?"

"On the floor"

His hands moved upwards before going back down—into my underwear his hands laid firmly on both of my butt cheeks.

Wrapping my arms around his waist I inhaled his cologne getting comfortable in his hold.

"How did you know I left?"

"I woke up when you got out of bed, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know you left the house"

"Hmm"
