Subject Zero

Chpt. 8

         No one's P.O.V.

Everyone just looked at Newt with confusion except for Minho.

"Come on, Newt. They're going to find out anyways..." Minho said nudging Newt a little. He sighs and starts to talk.
(Italics-Thomas Bold- Newt Underlined- Minho Underlined Bold- Teresa Bold Italics - Chuck)

"She was my girlfriend in the Blade. The first girl, she was the one who came here before everyone..."

"The Blade?"

"I thought I was the only girl..."

"That's what we called the Glade before she died, or more likely disappeared and we don't really like talking about it. She was basically our mother-figure, best friend and for Newt girlfriend."

"She was the most beautiful girl in the world and I don't need to see any other girl to know that. No offence Teresa. But the day she disappeared we got into a fight before she went into the maze all because I was jealous of Minho hanging out with her too much. A few seconds before the doors closed, they were running. Minho was going to push her into the maze but she did it first. The door closed and we heard a scream just right outside the door. We thought she died. For 3 years we thought she was dead, for 3 years there was no hope for us, for me. But now I know that she might still be alive and well makes me have hope and the strength to get out of here. Thanks to you, I have the hope and strength so thank you."

"Don't thank me...it's my fault y0u all are in here and why she was separated."

"Yeah but if it weren't for you, we may never have known she was alive and we still be here, so we should thank you. Now what about that escape plan?"

    (After they discussed the escape plan)

   Newt's P.O.V.

    We discussed the plan, we planned for Thomas to pretend to still be unconscious while Myself, Minho, Frypan, Winston and Chuck waited for the signal. Gally told his men to tie up Teresa and Thomas. They tied up Teresa first, and then the argued about why they should sacrifice them to the grievers. Then when Gally told the other men to tie Thomas up and then he hit one of the boy and I pulled out my sword (Idk what it called) and smack the other guy on the shoulder so they were both unconscious. Frypan freed Teresa, Minho kept Gally in his place and Chuck ran up to us with the supplies we needed. We all got the supplies and handed them out evenly to all seven of us. Thomas started reasoning with Gally to come with us. To be free. But he was still a stubborn shank so I butted in.

"We can be free and save Y/N. Thomas saw her, she's still alive and is out there in another maze. If you come with us, we can save her. She would want to see you with us..." I said to Gally. He just looked at me, his face softened but then he looked down and started shouting more at us.

"He's lying, she's dead. She died, we won't see her again!!!"

    Then he just told us to leave and die in the claws of the grievers, so we left. We ran to section 7 which was Y/N's favourite number which made me smile. But then when we arrived to section 7, we saw a griever. Minho gave the key to Chuck. Teresa was going to protect him and the key which, if Y/N was here she would've liked Teresa. She's a lot like her but not really. We started to run and attack the griever, but then it hit Chuck and the key fell out of his hand. He ran to get the key and caught it, but it he was about to fall off the edge but Teresa caught him. But he still kept on screaming bloody murder. Teresa pulled him put as we pushed the griever off the edge. We all had a mini celebration as Teresa and Chuck went up to the wall with the key and it opened. We were about to run but then another griever climbed up. We told Teresa and Chuck to open the door as we fight off the griever. They opened the door but Teresa yelled that there was a code. Then Thomas asked Minho what the pattern for all the 8 sections. But mid way another griever fell from the top and it fell on Minho. Then Clint pushed a spear in the grievers mouth with all his might. But then the other griever started eating him and then the other griever ate him too. Minho was able to get up, not that damaged but we lose another life. Then Minho said the rest of the code and it was correct. We ran into the entrance but then one out of the two grievers was nearing us. And the four walls that were leading to the entrance started going down, then Thomas threw his spear at the griever and it started going backwards and the wall crushed both of the grievers and then the entrance door closed and left us in complete darkness. And then a door opened and we walked out of the darkness into the light. There were to ends, but we decided to go right. And we found a door that had the word, 'EXIT' on the top.
