When Alan reached home, he couldnt help but think about Chloe. The moment he'd seen her today, he stood there, awestruck and dumbfounded. Recovering from the shock, he hastily positioned himself in a way in which it would seem that he hadnt seen her yet. He wanted to see the rraction on her face.
Even though he knew she wouldnt talk to him; he felt really broken when she actually ran away - like literally - she ran like she'd breakdown if she stayed and he felt like a major douche when he saw her pained expression, for he knew it was his fault that had led to all of this.
And yet, as selfish as he was - he was here once again - and this time, not to run like a coward, but to man up and face her - to tell her the truth - to complete his promises - to make her believe in him, once again.
Ever since he had moved to London, he had missed her terribly.
He didnt think it would be that difficult after he had left. Thats why he didnt even call her to see him off. He always wanted to call her; but one thing he knew for sure was that - had she arrived to see him off; he'd never have actually left. He just couldnt leave her.
And as ironic as it was, he didnt even tell her.
Throughout the entire 3 years that he was gone, he had tried to move on, to date, to have fun maybe; but each time he tried, the truth came running towards him and would tackle him with a hard blow, slapping the fact in his face that he would never be able to feel the way that he felt for Chloe. And that leaving her was probably the worst decision of his life.
Though he knew it was a very stupid thing to leave her, but back then, he felt really small for her. She was smart, beautiful, caring and ever so selfless and forgiving and he was the complete opposite.
Sure he was good looking; but that wasnt something that Chloe cared about.
Moreover, he was scarred. Chloe had changed him way too much, but he couldnt possibly think of drowning her in his emotional whirlpool - in his past that wasnt that pretty, and he couldnt possibly depend on her entirely. She was an addiction and that bothered him.
So he thought he wss gone for good, only to realise eventually how wrong he was.
He wouldnt have actually dared to return had it not have been because of his friend Mason. It was him who had managed to knock some sense in Alan's head and had convinced him to return and get her. He'd lectured Alan about how he knew why he didnt date all these years and how he thinks about how she is all the time.
Sseing her today, he had felt a jolt of shock. And how he wished to go to her and talk to her for hours; but he knew it wasnt the right thing to do, yet.
He had purposely informed her friend Erica about his arrival because the more confused Chloe was, the more easy it would be to confront her, or so he thought.
He was awestruck on seeing that how beautiful she had grown into in the 3 years he hadnt seen her. She was still the same and yet so different.
Dark brown locks of hair slightly curled at the tips naturally; her chocolate brown almond shaped eyes, slightly bossy nose and ever so innocent look on her face.
The only difference being; she now presented herself more elegantly in public.
Because back then, she wouldnt even care to look into the mirror while going out and would never try to pretend.
And he loved that about her. She was really simple to be with.
Convincing her; or lets say talking to her after these years was going to be a hell of a task; for she didnt trust people easily. Ofcourse she would give a second chance, but she wouldnt believe him. She was a Gemini afterall.
A thousand personalities, a hundred different moods, one hell of an unpredictable girl, yet so gullible and beautiful, full of fun, not a hopeless romantic but the one who secretly hopes for her own lovestory.
And he will give her the love story she wants, he thought. He had nothing to lose. He just cant let her go this time.
But this time, apart from convincing her, he had one more issue.
Reece. He thought. How much did he hate him for no reason.
But now that he was here, Reece had to get out of the picture.
He had to admit, he felt a little uneasy with the thought of Chloe dating Reece. Or was it jealousy? Or fear? Fear that she never liked him.
No! No! That cant be. He thought.
The way she had reacted gave no signs of moving on.
And as he planned on how to meet her and what to say, he slowly grew confident and secure. Smiling devilishly while turning to sleep he whispered " Chloe Armel, here I come."
It was one hell of a day after all.
_______________
So this is almost everything of the past they shared.
The next chapter will probably feature their meet in the present.
No more past now, since I've already shown it in both of the characters' POV.
Thanks for reading.
