Chapter 31: Scam

Marco POV
It was already January. 4 months after the Supercup match but after that lost Mr S did make it up by still undefeated in the league and not only that we're also just one point away from the first place.

I was just sitting in the living room with Star. She's here cause her manager gave her and Lilacia a rest, after their new song was a hit. So she gave it as a thank you gift for them.

We were just chilling when suddenly the door was knock. I stand up and open it and it was Toffee. He have a huge smile on his face and said "SUPRISE!" "Oh hey what's up?" I said while letting him in. He told me to sit and said "Alright I got some great news!" "Okay? What is it?" "I just got a call that Real Madrid wants you!" I just sit there frozen cause still in shock.

"No way!!!" "Yes way" "When can I sign the contract?!" "Welp you need to wait for that, okay got to go" then he left while talking in at his phone.

I close the door and quickly hug Star in excitement. "OMG Marco I can't believe it!" "I know right!" Then Star let go of the hug. Like she's just realizing something. Then she said "But we'll be away even more than" "oh yeah" "It's okay Marco if.." then I cut her off with a kiss and said "Don't worry if it happens I promise I will return to Manchester" "Alright"

~A few days later~

Tom POV
While I was walking back to the dressing after the match against Real Madrid, Marco came from behind while wearing the Real Madrid jersey. So I ask "Were did you get that?" "Oh Benzema asked me to switch jersey from each other. He even congrats us for the win" "Wow really!" "Yeah" "But you should not wear it. You don't know what the media will say" "It's fine" "Sure...." I said in a sarcastic ton.

~couple of days later~

Marco POV
I was just chilling while watching the News when suddenly I saw a news about me! The reporters say:
The reporters: earlier Marco Diaz the Valencia attacker midfielder was seen wearing a Real Madrid jersey. Does the transfer have already completed?

Then I quickly call Toffee and said "Have you seen the news about me? What is this!" "Oh yeah don't worry. That's just the media, it's usually happens" "You sure?" "Yeah" then he hung up.

"Hey Marco don't be stressed out" "Yeah" then we continue what we were doing.

In the evening I was just chilling with Star when suddenly Toffee call me. "What?" "Meet me at the parking lot now" "Okay" then I get ready. Star ask "Where you going?" "My agent asked me to go meet him, so I have to go" "Ok but don't be late" "Alright" gave her a quick kiss and then I left.

I arrived at the parking lot and Toffee said "Come on hurry up!" "Why?" "No time to explain" then we get in his car and he drove quickly. Then we arrived at the club stadium. I was still confused, so I said "What the heck is happening" he sigh and said "The transfer was a scam" "What!!!" "That's why we are here to save your career" then we went in the office and saw both Mr S and the club chairman is waiting.

We sit and the chairman said "You know how much you have cost us!" "I know" "Marco I'm really sorry but I think we're going to have to let you go" "What!!" "Seriously?! This kid have done a huge impact. Last season he scored 13 goals and now he have scored 15 already!" "We continue this tomorrow" then the chairman got up and left the room. While all of us sit there.

I got back at my apartment. Toffee followed me, he said "Alright don't worry maybe I can..." But before he could finish I cut him off "What the heck!!" "Chil okay, I'm sorry but.." "But what! You gamble my career!!" Before he could say anything else, I said "You're fired!" "But.." "Out!!" He look down and left.

I sat on my couch still thinking about what happened when suddenly Star came and said "Hey" "Hey" "I heard what happened" "Oh sorry if I wake you up cause of that" "It's okay. Come on Marco let's get some sleep. It's late already" "Alright honey" then I followed her to our room.
