"I Draco Malfoy accept you Harry Potter as my mate" said Draco.
"Really?"asked Harry with surprise. He didnt think Draco would accept him as his mate because of their past being enemies and hating each other ever since first year.
"Of course, I do. I think Ive been in love with you for a long time Harry, I think I just didnt want to see it as you didnt befriend me back in first year so I took it as I sign that you hated me because of the way I acted to Weasley when we met on the train, he was your first friend I believe and I was so mean to him. I think in a way I made you hate me harry and for that I am truly sorry for the way I have acted for the past five years to you and your friends" said Draco with sincerity written all over his face for harry to see that he truly regretted what he had said and done to Harry and his friends for all those years theyve been at Hogwarts.
"I think Ive liked you for a long time too Draco, I just didnt want to accept it because of your past actions but I believe that you truly regret your actions, so I accept your apology Draco Malfoy, but can we start off by only tell the people that we absolutely trust just as a precaution. You know what my life has been like for the past years and I dont want the people I care most about to get hurt trying to fight my battles for me" Harry explained to Draco. Whilst he was talking, he didnt realise how close Draco was to him and as Harry looked up at Draco, Draco leaned towards him and kissed Harry. When they kissed it was like sparks were going off, it was the most amazing thing Harry has ever felt and knew that he would do anything he possibly could to feel that feeling again and to protect Draco at all costs even if it means facing Voldemort by himself. As they pulled apart Harry was smiling for real this time, for once in his life Harry felt safe and cared for.
"So, what now?" asked Draco with a genuine smile on his face as he never really smiled before due to his father and the way he was raised, but most importantly Draco felt truly happy for once in his life.
"I have to inform Sna-father about us and my friends of course. They would kill me if I didnt tell them. They must be going beside themselves with curiosity of who my mate is" said Harry with worry hidden in his voice about how Ron and Hermione will react to his mate being Malfoy and not to mention Sna-father, he really needs to make a better effort in calling Snape father.
"Well then we best get it over with as I cannot imagine everyone will be thrilled with this news especially Ron and Hermione" said Draco.
"Don't remind me, they will probably freak out that your my mate, but after you explain to them the reason why you acted the way you did theyd understand and forgive you as I have" said Harry.
"Okay then lets go tell them" said Draco.
