"Yellow."

She liked the sound of it. It wasn't that she hadn't heard it before, because she did. She was sixteen for God's sake. She just liked how it rolled of her tongue. It felt like the sweet caramel bubble tea she had got a few days ago.

"Lemons are yellow." Rosé commented as she took another sip of her freshly made lemonade.

"Do yellow cherries exist too?" Lisa wondered out loud making the older girl laugh.

"They actually do... But I myself have never seen them before. We do have a yellow berry here though."

Lisa furrowed her eyebrows cutely and turned her face towards her friend. "Which yellow berry do you mean? We only have blue berries. And those are blue right?"

"That banana on your lap. Now eat it up." Chaeyoung chuckled making Lisa roll her eyes before grabbing the banana on her lap and felt around.

"A banana isn't a berry. It's way too big!" Lisa exclaimed. "All the berries that I've felt are small and tiny. A banana is huge..."

"You're too cute for your own good Lis. But sometimes sizes differ..." Rosé laughed and checked her phone for new messages.

After Lisa found the top part she started to peel it. She took a few small bites and listened to the tapping sounds her friend made on her phone.

"Who are you texting?" Lisa questioned. The older girl chuckled and put her phone down. "My mom. She was asking me what I would want to eat for dinner."

Lisa hummed and continued to eat the banana. Suddenly Rosé spoke up again.

"But yeah, a banana is actually a berry. I was surprised too."

"That's just madness" Lisa mumbled.
Chaeyoung chuckled and finished her lemonade. She walked over to the sink and started to wash her glass.

"Are there only yellow bananas then?"

Rosé thought for a moment before replying to her blind friend.

"No, a while ago I read that there are different colors of banana... I only know the yellow one though." She shrugged and sipped some more of her drink.

"I wish I could read." The younger mumbled before carefully laying her banana peel next to her. She pursed her lips together and leaned back in the chair.

"You can read Lis" Chaeyoung frowned at her friends words.

Lisa slightly groaned. "Yes, I can, 'read'," she said, making quotation marks with her fingers, "but how many books are there that I can read? There are some available, but they are fucking expensive. I can't ask my mom to buy me a new book every month. We are already struggling financially."

She was frustrated. Frustrated by the fact that she was born blind. Frustrated by the fact that she wasn't normal. Why couldn't see just see? It was supposed to be one of the most basic things a human was supposed to do.

Yet she couldn't.

"Hey, Lisa," the older girl said, putting her hands on her best friends shoulders, "It's okay. I understand why you are so frustrated. But just know that it is what it is. Feeling bad for yourself and being negative about it won't make you see... So just try to... Try to make the best out of it I guess..." She pulled her into a hug and ran her fingers through the younger girl's locks. "I'm not so good with words but you get me. Right?"

Lisa sighed and rubbed her hands on her outer thighs. Something she did when she tried to calm herself down. She liked the sooting feeling of her hair being played with. Especially when it was Rosé. Not that she had anybody to compare her with, since she was the only one who really did that to her.

"It just sucks Chae" She mumbled, biting her lip as her voice wavered. She eventually wrapped her arms around the older girl and completely sank into the hug.

After a while Rosé slightly pulled back and a pang went through her heart when she saw the tears in her friend's eyes.

Lisa's eyes were different and honestly mesmerizing. They didn't really have an iris and were a clear clowdy brown. She loved to look at them as they reminded her of warm chocolate clouds. It was a weird thought, but that was how she saw them.

Chaeyoung wiped the first tear that rolled down on her friends cheek away with the pad of her thumb and kissed her friends forehead.

"I love you Chae." Lisa whispered before sniffing and rubbing her eyes. She wanted to stop with crying and enjoy the rest of her time with her friend.

"I love you too Lis." Rosé replied with a small smile on her face. She really meant it.

"Now let's go do something else okay? It can't be sad girl hours forever."

And just like that a smile was back on Lisa's face while she excitedly. "We can make bracelets!" She got up and grabbed her friends wrist before she made her way to the stairs.

In the back of Chaeyoung her head an amazing idea started to forme. She to share it with the other 2 girls as soon as possible. Maybe they could make it a reality.
