Chapter 2 Blazing Dance

After a short time night fell over the city.
Frawning Jaden stared down at the lit up screen on his cell phone. His ride outta here should be here by now but there was no sign of it.

Bored of watching the time slowly pass by on his cell. He shoved it back into his back pack careful not to wake the still sleeping child next to him.
Suddenly a large beam of light shined it's way through the room window they were in.

Jaden cautiously keeping low and out of sight, Jaden crept back over to the window. His back agianst the wall while he carefully peeped out. Parked just out side the building was two small black cars and what looked like duelts adjusting their duel disks onto their arms. Jaden's body moved on its own like lightning,

He quickly swirled the bag straps over and onto his shoulders then violently shook the kid awake, snatching his hand into his, he dragged the boy out of the room and began running up stairs after stairs. Pharaoh ran after them once close enough hopped onto Jaden's shoulder.

Loud voices of men could be heard a few floors down below them Jaden tugged harder onto the boy's hand leading him up another set of stairs up to the roof top.
Although they weren't moving fast enough, one of the dulets catching a glimpse of them seeing him vanish up the stairs above them.

The boy panted heavily as he stumbled again and again over his own feet doing his best to keep up with Jaden's pace.

Jaden kicked the door to the roof open knocking it off of its hinges and sending it crashing down, They ran to the edge of the roof top as four dulets came running through the door, they were dark dulets

Servents of the Shadow Dulets.

Jaden gritted his teeth together shoving Yubel behind him for protection.
Before Jaden could even come up with a possible plan of escape a led string like whip shot out from one of the men's duel disks.
Jaden cried out as the red whip wrapped around his wrist and yanked him forward away from the child.

"BIG BRO!" Cried Yubel. Pharaoh hopped off of Jaden shoulder dropping down something at Jaden's feet then running back over to the boy standing in for him as his shield in Jaden's place.

The Boy looked at Jaden with both pleading and fearful. Snatching his duel disk Jaden turned his back to the men making his way back to the boy when a wall of blue fire blocked his path.

"Urgh!" Jaden used his arms to protect his face from the flame sparks.

Jaden anger boiled to a new higher level as he turned back round to look at the now smug men.

"You like sir?, with this device we can trap anyone here within the shadow realm and the only escape for you is to win this duel".

("Shadow realm?"). It was then when Jaden looked around him to notice that the tall buildings of Domino City were no longer there and the sky was pitch black with purple/black swirl like smoke floating around them.

Jaden smirked at the men but in his eyes it was clear that he was far from keeping his cool.
"Pretty clever...trapping me here with a ring of fire. But your all trapped in here within my grasp and I'm not in the type of caring mood to show anyone here mercy".

"LET'S DUEL!!".

Halfway through the duel it seemed like easy victory for Jaden. The Men were left with only 200 Life Points left while he still had 700 on him. One more hit by his elemental hero Burstinatrix and it'd all be over.

Meanwhile Child and Pharaoh continued to cheer on for Jaden when something stage began happening to the boy.
Out of nowhere the boy collapsed hunched over on the ground crying out in pain.

Jaden heard the boy's cries, he tried to run over to him but the wall of fire grew larger the closer he got to it.
The boy's body started hurting like he was being stun by a million bees at once, his head hissed like the sound of TV static and his aura that surround his body made the air grow heavier by the second.

His arm changes form and a pair of large black wings with bone like spikes attached to them ripped out of his back. Yubel looked up growling and drooling from the mouth as he stared Jaden them with pain, anger and hatred.
Jaden tried forcing himself through the fiery flames ignoring the stinging painful burns he'd sure to complain about later but right now at that moment all his mind was focused on was him.
He winced at the tightening pain squeezing harder and harder on his wrist.
Looking down at his arm Jaden saw the familiar red whip from earlier pulling and tugging him back to the battle.
The pain in Yubel's body got worse as he screamed out so loud that Jaden could swear on his life that his ears were bleeding.

"YUBEL!, YUBEL! YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME!" Jaden yelled trying to get louder than the screams.

The yells from the men and the constant pulling was too much for Jaden to handle.

"ELEMENTAL HERO BURSTINATRIX! FINISH THEM NOW!!!!!".

Just like that, the fire wall vanished and so did the whip. Jaden's body fell to the ground as he embraced Yubel into a tight hug. There was no more screaming from the child, only soft crying and muffled sniffles.

Yubel's body shifted back to normal and he had grown so weak by having his power drained from his demonic side. holding onto Yubel tighter as he sobbed into Jaden's shoulder apologising for losing control agian.

"Your okay Yubel, your safe now" Jaden spike softly stroking the back of Yubel's head.
The last fragments of the fire fizzed and spark till it eventually sizzled out. The sky returned back to normal and the men lay flat on their faces unconscious .
They were safe for now....
