I opened my eyes sleepily and lifted my head. Toothless and the children were still sleeping peacefully, so I went out to the ledge in front of our cave. Yawning, I looked at my reflection in the water of the flowing stream. My white scales shone in the Moonlight and there was absolute silence. The whole Hidden World was still in deep sleep.
It had been almost two years, since we saw Hiccup again, and the children could hardly remember the Viking and his family. But Toothless did. Sometimes in the late evening I caught him sitting outside the cave, looking sadly at the artificial, automatic tail fin, that Hiccup had built for him back then. Fortunately, during the day I was able to distract him by flying with our children through our Kingdom. With a sigh I went back into the cave, curled up and fell asleep.
The next morning, as usual, Dart, Ruffrunner and Pouncer woke us up. The three jumped around us cheerfully and shrieked, "Mom, Dad, get up!" Laughing, my Mate and I got up and chased our offspring a little. Afterwards there was breakfast.
Like every day, we flew through the Hidden World, until late afternoon, and Dart learned a lot about what she later has to master as Queen. Finally we took a break at our cave. Toothless stayed outside with the kids, while I brought a small crystal into the cave, that we had taken from the Alpha Rock today. If you shot a plasma blast on it, it glowed pleasantly green and you could use it as a night light.

When I placed the crystal in the cave, I ran back out to my family.
