Max's POV:
"Tj." I said as he opened the door. I went to hug him, but he just stood there, a look of pain on his face. "What's wrong?"
"I need to go to the hospital." He replied, his voice a little shaky. I looked down, only to see a wet spot by his crotch. Shit!
"Come on, Michael's driving." I say as I gently take hold of his hand. He squeezes mine right as we walk out of the apartment, nearly collapsing in pain as he whined. I managed to bring him back up, but only for a second.
"I can't, Max!" He cries out. "It hurts! I need to go back inside!"
"You need to get to the hospital."
"Call an ambulance, then!" I froze, unsure of what to do. "PLEASE!" I hurriedly grabbed hold of Tj's arm, pulling him back up as I walked him back into the apartment. He collapsed on the couch when I got him over to it.
~
It's been a couple hours since Tj and I arrived at the hospital and I'm still sitting in the waiting room, hoping he's okay. Soon, a nurse brings him out in a wheelchair, but he's not alone. He's holding a pale blue blanket, our baby wrapped up inside.
"Tj!" I say, just above a whisper. He smiles at me, then looks down to the baby.
"His name is Andy Phoenix Green." Tj says, softly.
"Hey, Andy!" I say softly as I gently take our son from Tj's arms. "Hey. I'm your dad." He opens his eyes as he grabs hold of my finger. I can't help a few tears escape my eyes as a smile cracks on my lips. "you're so precious!" I don't know much about this life, but I do know that my life is complete.
