THIEF

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated

"So, what are you two called?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest

The one on the left replied first, "CT-2267, Nomad," he said and his brother nodded along side him.  "CT-2998, brothers call me Dusk."

"Well Nomad and Dusk, mind walking with me down towards the grounds?"

"Right away sir." the two clones didn't hesitate as they spoke in unison.

Fallon held back a grin. They had orders to guard her, not keep her locked away in her room so in a way, it wasn't all that bad and it would give her a chance to see an alien planet.

The clones outside her door watched them leave, and Fallon couldn't help herself and ask the clones questions. And boy did she ask a ton. The fifteen minute walk to the gardens wasn't so bad as she passed the time, listening to Nomad describe his and Dusk's two years into service for the republic. From the battle of Mimban to the battle of Quell. Then they had been stationed as higher command to an outpost on a moon for the planet Bordal. Just recently they had been transferred back to original company. It was more fascinating than Fallon could have thought of.

The three of them walked down the hall before finally reaching the door that would lead them to the outside. One of the guards standing nearby watched them pass through as fresh air hit Fallon in the face. Instantly, her muscles relaxed as she felt her surroundings ease up. Walking down the paths, she stopped by a railing and looked down at the rest of the city. It was more peaceful than anything else she ever seen in her life, not even her own planet felt this peaceful. She couldn't help but realize Nomad and Dusk were still standing at attention, standing a few feet back to give her space.

"At ease lads," she told them politely. What was the point of relaxing if they couldn't all do it.

Nomad glanced at Dusk and then slowly began to ease up a bit, even chatting a little bit to a fellow guard nearby.

Fallon glanced back at the population below her and spotted a ramp going down to the city. Relaxing in a garden was nice, the plants were all colorful and the flowers looked like crystals, but Fallon wanted to stretch her legs for real, and see places without people always following her. She looked back at the crew, watching them for a few moments before taking in a deep breath.

Either is was going to work perfectly...or she would have more than a broken rib to worry about. Stepping backwards for a moment, she ran straight toward the ledge before hopping the fence in one swift movement. It was only then when she realized how far of a drop the ground was. She tumbling down before doing a combat roll on to the pathway below, scraping her elbow on the ground with a painful ouch.

The people nearby had shouted in shock and stared at her in worry and fright. And they were right to do so. A girl had come falling from four stories high and landed perfectly fine (except for a scrap on her arm). It was something she was a little shocked too, she hadn't realized it was such a large drop from the angle on the balcony. The most surprising thing she noticed was her legs didn't hurt from the impact which made no sense.

She stood up abruptly and started to walk down the walkways, blending in with the crowd as quickly as possible. the rest of the crowd had eventually turned back to what they had been doing, going about their business like before.

Fallon looked from right to left, taking in as much as she could. The street vendors, the different species of people, it was all too overwhelming to really understand it all. People with different skin tones, bodies with fur or scales and weirdly shaped heads, this planet had it all. And that was just down the first street. She continued walking down the pathway before spotting a window mirroring her reflection and couldn't help to paused, realizing how different she looked now.
