My brother soon woke up, and I learned that the woman who was Ace's Guardian was named Abigale. She was 27, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Now that I think if it, she couldn't have been much older then Ace when she got him back to the base. The base, which was actually this large underground city filled with natural light somehow, probably using new modern technology, was named Terragentem. Terragentem was basically a small country filled with Supernaturals, and there were Supernaturals of all ages, from infants to the elderly. And they all had some sort of power. This was a nation filled with people like me and my brother. The city looked like a normal city like New York, except every building was made out of stone. There were also small houses, and other buildings like what looked like an arena, and buildings that I had no idea what their use was. We started by exploring the city and setting up our new apartment room. There were many apartments in Terragentem, and some were completely empty, because Terragentem had been built for Supernaturals to just keep coming in and moving out. So me and Mark got our own apartment space to share. It consisted of two bedrooms, one bathroom, a small kitchen and dinning room, and a living room. Both bedrooms had large closets, so we tossed most of our belongings in there. I was still limping badly, and had to use crutches, but luckily the apartments had elevators. Mark also had received some wounds, but only grazes from bullets, though he did have one deep cut near his shoulder that was made from a dagger that one soldier must have thrown. I still, was devastated that Ace wasn't back yet. So was Mark. Except he had already given up.
" Grow up and face it Nick. He's gone. There's no way he could be alive after being outnumbered like that. " Mark would say
" No." I said firmly. " He's not dead. He's alive out there somewhere. " but after the first month of being in Terragentem, I was starting to doubt myself too. We hadn't taken our tests yet, because the tests were only to be taken when the person is at their full health and can use their full strength and ability. Within my short time of being in Terragentem, I learned that very few people shared the same ability. Some could breathe underwater, some could fly, some could control gravity, or had Xray vision. The typical stuff when you think of supernatural. But others had things that were a little more strange. Like being able to be entirely immune to heat, telepathically communicate with others, or jumping super high. Often, the ability wasn't even physical. Some people's brains were wired differently. Like how some, you could give them a bucket of metal and wires, and they could make a computer. Apparently, telekinesis and teleporting are both rare abilities, and few people have them. That of course, draws even more attention to us because not only are there two siblings that were born with abilities, they were both born with rare abilities. Yay for us. Training started as soon as we could get up and walk. It was hard to find a person who could train us since our ability was rare and not many people had it, but the Masters eventually found a trainer for each of us. Soon, the tests will come. Soon, I will know what sector I'm really meant to be in. Soon, I will know who I really am.
