My One True Love

Chapter 3

Alyssa's POV

"Hey Alyssa can I tell you something?" Ross says looking into my eyes.

"Of course."

"Well I....."

"You what?" I say confused.

"I... I have feelings for you."

I sat there thinking. I was thinking about us earlier, if we would ever date, or what would the future would look like for us. Would we be best friends or more than that? Now I'm so excited because I like him too. Maybe this is a sign.

"So..." Ross says.

"I have feelings for you too Ross."

"You do?!"

"Yes, do you remember the other day when you asked me what's wrong and I never told you?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"Well, I was thinking about us. I mean we've been best friends for as long as I can remember, and not long ago I decided that I like you. "

Ross smiles and leans in and kisses me. I immediately felt sparks and fireworks explode in my stomach. This was the most magical experience I've ever had.
We pull apart and just look into each other's eyes.

"Wow." we both say at the same time, and laugh.

"So will you go out with me tomorrow night?"

"Yes!"

"Awesome, so are you ready to go?" Ross says while getting up.

"Yeah, race you to the car!" I yell running as fast as I can. Unfortunately he beat me to the car.

"Ha I win." He laughed getting in the car.

"Yeah yeah whatever." I said rolling my eyes and laughing. Of course he won but I still tried and I think I did very well.

We drove home. When we pulled into the driveway, Ross got out and opened my car door for me. He is such a gentlemen. I can't wait until we actually start dating.

Ross' POV

We drove home and listened to the radio. I am so glad I told her I like her. I hope things can work out between us because I really want to be able to call her mine. I got out and opened her car door for her, and we walked in the house. Rydel, Ryland, Rocky, and Ratliff were watching a movie. As soon as Rydel saw us she jumped up and pulled Alyssa upstairs to her room. I sat down beside Rocky and Ratliff on the coach.

"So how did tonight go, did you ask her out?" Rocky asked.

"Well I didn't ask her out, but I told her I have feelings for her and we... we kissed, and then I asked her out on a date." I said.

"Alright bro!" Ratliff said dragging out the t.

"Yeah nice going man, but why didn't you ask her out I mean you've known each other for pretty much your whole life?" Rocky asked.

"Because I want to take things slow, I don't want to rush things like my last relationship." I said.

"What happened in your last relationship?" Ratliff asked confused.

"Well she just wanted to start doing things before we were ready." I said emphasizing the word things.

"Ohhh, I'm sorry." he said.

"It's okay, I just don't want to have the same mistake again. It is like I have this feeling like we were meant to be together, like she is my one true love. You know?"

"Yeah bro I know how you feel I feel the same thing with Alexa." Rocky stated.

"So what should I do?"

"Well just take things slow and if she's the one for you you'll know trust me, but I like the way your taking this man your acting very mature."

"Thanks."

Alyssa's POV

After Ross and I entered the house Rydel jumped up and pulled me upstairs to her room.

"Tell me everything." She said sitting on her bed. I joined her.

"Well, he brought a picnic blanket and we sat and watched the waves crash on the shore. It was really romantic even if we aren't dating. Anyway he said he had to tell me something and he said he likes me, well he actually said he has feelings for me but same thing."

"OMG the feels!"

"Yeah, well anyway I told him I have feelings for him too and we... kissed." I said biting my lip."

"No way!!!" She exclaimed.

"Yes way."

"OMG that's awesome how was it? and I'm saying how was it for your sake because Ross is my younger brother so that would just be weird if I cared about you kissing him."

"It was magical like I had been swept off my feet. Rydel don't get me wrong but I have this strange feeling that Ross is the the one, like my one true love."

"That's so cute! When are you guys going to date?"

"Haha I don't know but I hope soon."

So yes I admitted to Rydel that I feel like Ross is the one. I know I shouldn't be rushing into things but I can just feel it. Please let him ask me out soon.
