Chapter 4

* the next morning *

//Ross' POV//

I woke up, got ready and then went downstairs. I am so excited because I just remembered Alyssa and I are going on our first date tonight! I don't know if I should ask her out yet though because I still don't want to rush things, but I really want her to be mine.

As I was walking downstairs I bumped into Alyssa.

"Hey." she said.

"Hey I was wondering if you wanted to spend all day together instead of just tonight?" I asked hoping she would say yes.

"Yeah that sounds cool, I would love that."

"Okay well where and what would you like to do then? because I want this day to just be about you."

"Umm well we could go swimming, watch movies, and oh eat somewhere nice!"

"Wow you've really been thinking about this haven't you?" I smirked.

"Haha yes, I can't wait!" she jumped on me and hugged me. It was such an amazing feeling. "What shall we do first?"

"Whatever you want."

"Okay how about swimming?" she suggested.

"Of course, how about we go get changed?"

We went upstairs to our own rooms and got changed. I wore my pink swim trunks, and I walked to the backyard.

//Alyssa's POV//

I went to get dressed in my room. I decided to wear my baby blue fringe bikini and my black bottoms. Then I walked out of my room and went to the backyard. Ross was already there and he was staring at my body. I felt kinda uncomfortable but he is a guy and most guys do that. Sorry but it's true they are guys, they are going to do it. I walked up to him and moved his chin up towards my eyes.

"My eyes are up here." I laughed and he blushed.

"Well let's get into the pool." he said trying to change the subject.
We got in and swam for a while. We splashed each other and just hung out.

After about 2 hours we went inside and dried off. We decided to watch movies, and of course Ross choose Romeo and Juliet. We watched it in his and Ryland's room so we could have privacy. Not like we are going to do anything but we don't want it to be awkward with Ryland in there. Luckily we didn't have to kick him out because he was going to be at Savannah's all day.

Ross was quoting every single line. He missed a few but he could probably play Romeo and not even need a script. There is honestly no telling how many times he has seen this movie. After we were done we got ready to go eat. He is taking me to a nice Italian restaurant, and Delly helped me get ready. I wore white skinny jeans, brown leather sandals, and a pinkish blouse. I also got one of Rydel's brown purses.

"You look beautiful." Ross says as I walk down the stairs.

"Awe thank you. You don't look to bad yourself." I blush.

"You ready to go?"

"Yep."

"Wait!" Stormie yells running down the stairs. "I have to get pictures of you guys."

She gets a few pictures some with silly faces and some cute but serious ones. Then we say goodbye to everyone and head to the car. We drive to the place and eat. Before we ordered I could tell the waiter was flirting with me , which really ticked me off because he knew we were on a date. I could also see a jealous look on Ross' face. it was kinda cute. we finished eating and Ross wanted to take me to the boardwalk. we walked down the boardwalk with the beautiful lights and sunset. It was... well perfect. Ross stopped walking and looked at me. He starred at me for a minute before he stated talking.

//Ross's POV//

This is it I'm going to ask Alyssa to be my girlfriend. Wow I'm nervous. Okay Ross calm down you can do this.

"Listen Alyssa the first time I laid eyes on you I knew we were going to be best friends. We always promised each other to always be best friends forever but I can't do that because I can't just be friends with you I want more than that. I never knew that I would fall in love with my best friend, and I must've fallen pretty hard too. So Alyssa, will you be my girlfriend?"

I was anxiously awaiting an answer, just hoping she would say yes.

"Yes of course Ross, I would love to." she smiles.

I can't believe Alyssa Finley is my girlfriend. I just want to tell the whole world and rub it in peoples faces, but I know that would not be very mature of me.
