Me, Poppy, Giddeon and Jack were chatting at our table when suddenly we heard the intercom go off.
"Attention staff, please escort all the new inmates to the auditorium for the orientation," Said the man on the speaker.
The two guards that had escorted me earlier to lunch came with a few other guards to help escort all the new people. The two guards escorted my group, taking us to the auditorium.
"That's the same guards that escorted me to lunch," I whispered to Giddeon.
"Yeah, they took me to lunch too," Giddeon said.
Jake joined the conversation and said that the guards escorted him and Poppy too.
"What does this mean?" I asked Giddeon.
"Well, maybe they're just understaffed you know?" He suggested.
"That can't be the case, while I was walking to lunch I saw heaps of guards around, more then the number of people being taken here," I informed Giddeon.
Giddeon dazed off, thinking of an explanation.
"Maybe they're specially trained guards? For...people like us?" Giddeon said, questioning it.
"They don't seem more trained than any of the other guards and usually wouldn't guards that are specially trained have a different kind of armour and weaponry?" I asked.
"Good point," Giddeon said.
Suddenly we were interrupted by a large door opening in front of us and we entered the auditorium, looking around I saw a bunch of people already seated chatting amongst themselves.
Our group all sat together, waiting for the orientation to start. Giddeon said he wanted to tell me something and I was about to ask what it was when suddenly a voice rang through the auditorium and I turned my head trying to pay attention to the orientation.
"Hello everyone," The woman on stage started speaking, "I know you all must be scared after being taken from your home, but I can assure you, you are much safer here than out in the woods or in the safety of your own homes. Our organisation have been keeping you children and adults alike safe ever since the watches disbanded, to stop the government for using you all as weapons of destruction."
I don't trust them choice: 'They're lying, they are just trying to use our power for themselves,' I thought.
I don't know choice: 'Now I'm more unsure than ever, are they really trying to help? Or are they using us?' I wondered to myself.
I trust them choice: 'I knew it, they are here to help, hopefully, I can convince Jake the same thing...' I thought.
The women on stage continued talking, "A lot of you might not even know or understand the watches, let me explain. There were two watches, the day watch and the night watch and there are two types of 'others', people like you, called light others and dark others. There are people who are neither but I'll explain that later, first, this video will sup up the history of your kind."
Then the video on the giant screen on stage played.
'Will this help me learn who I am?' I wondered to myself.
