Chapter 4: Charlie

Cain
I walked home from the barn playing the kiss over and over again in my head. It made me smile when I thought about it. I wanted to be with her so badly...but she was with Charlie. Charlie the garyboy, Charlie who stole Lullah from me. It's about time I got her back. Lullah is too good for him, not like Beverly or one of them bottomly girls. No. Lullah was perfect.
Lullah
What. Just. Happened!? I kissed Cain...AND I LIKED IT!! But it was so wrong. I was with Charlie. Oh no..what if Flossie tells him? I don't know what's going on with me. I like Charlie but what the heck!? Before I can continue my train of thought u hear another tap at my window. Flossie again!? Uggggh. I crawl out of bed and peek out the window...oh no...it's Charlie.
Cain
I arrive home and crawl into bed. It's cold and I wish Lullah was here. I keep thinking about the kiss and I watch through the window at her cottage. There's someone outside her window....no way....CHARLIE! 😡 I stormed out of the door, he is gonna die!
Lullah
I race downstairs in my jammies to see Charlie standing at the end of the path. I run up to hug him when out of the shadows comes...Beverly Bottomly!! She stalks up to Charlie and snogs him. He doesn't move away. I feel as my heart beats faster and my cheeks burn red with anger. I fight back the tear that are stinging my eyes. "How cou" I start but Charlie out a finger over my lips. "HOW COULD YOU!?" I scream at him. I got to hit him but Beverly has me by the arms. " LET ME GO YOU SHE DEMON" I yell at her. "Oh sweetheart..." she tuts " it's not my fault"
Tears flow down my cheeks as a scream and yell at Charlie.
Cain
I am running up to Lullahs cottage when I hear a scream and someone yells "CHARLIE YOU MONSTER!!!" I run even faster. When I reach the cottage I stop dead. The Bottomly sisters have Lullah by the arms while Beverly is snogging...LARRYBOY CHARLIE. I race straight up to the idiot and tackle him to the ground. The Bottomly sister shoot off into the night. That's it. I'm going to KILL Charlie.
Lullah
I watch as Cain and Charlie fight each other puchimg and kicking. Even though I protests they continue. "STOP! Please..." I sob one final time before sinking to the ground in tears. I sob and sob until I hear a loud CRACK! I look up and....oh my god Charlie has broken Cains arm!!! Charlie comes up to me and grabs me by the arms "are you ok?" He asks. " I. Hate. You." I say through gritted teeth. Then as he leans in to kiss me i se Cain open his eyes. I try and pull away from Charlie but I can't. He has too much of a grip on me. I lift me knee up and knee him in the crotch and punch him in the face. "Praise the knees" I scowl at him as he runs off. I see the side of Cain's lip curl into a smile. I run over and sit him up "Cain.." I mutter looking at his arm.
Cain
I sit in the dark as Lullah binds up my wounds. Finally she looks at my arm and mutters "Cain.." I pull her chin up to look at me. She has tears rolling down her face and her arms have red marks where they held her. I used my good arm to cradle her in my arms. I watched as she buried her face in my shirt and cried. And she cried and cried till morning. Finally she looked up at me "I thought you were a monster.." she begins. I place my hand on her cheek and wipe her tears. She nestles more into my chest as I left her chin up and kiss her. Sweetly she returns the kiss. No longer am I tense. And everything melts away.
