Chapter 7: The Gig

Lullah
I turned up to the gig early with Vaisey as support. We were chatting to Ruby and we were telling her all about this terms project. Romeo and Juliet. We were just about to go and meet the others when Matilda raced down the stairs and went ballistic!!! I whipped around and there, standing in the doorway, was Alex...and his girlfriend. "LOOBY LULLAH!!" He exclaimed. I laughed and hugged him. "How's it going in Dither Hall, Lules?" He asked.
"It's Dother Hall, and 'er names Tallulah mate" said a voice from behind him. I looked around, Charlie.
Cain
I looked around and studied my settings. I always did this before a gig. We were in The Blind Pig (the local pub), the Bottomly sisters were in a corner at the back, some local men had taken up the bar and the local girls were already flocking around backstage.
Lullah
I was so happy to be out with the girls again! The Woolfe boys came as well! Even if it meant Charlie had to be there... any-who we danced all night. It was funny, Jo was snogging Phil, Vaisey was talking to Jack backstage, Ben was hypnotised by Flossie and Charlie was at the back snogging one of the locals. Finally, The Jones came on, we shouted and cheered as they began. We danced the final way until the music stopped and Cain said "this is for a very special girl in my life..." I looked at Beverly and I was pretty sure her eyes were going to pop out of her head. "It's called 'Green Eyes'" he finished. I looked around again, Beverly had run off crying, the girls were grinning at me, Charlie scowled at me and pretended he didn't care, Alex raised his eyebrows at me and as I looked up Cain shot me the biggest grin I've ever seen in. My. Life.
Cain
We started the song I wrote for Lullah:

Green eyed girl.
I sang it like I felt it. I wanted her to know it was for her. When we finished the song I smiled at her, and she smiled back.
Lullah
I couldn't believe it! Cain wrote a song for me! ME! I was flooded with happiness so much so that I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the night. When the night was over, I was saying my goodbyes to the Tree Sisters when I saw Charlie sneaking off with those Bottomly girls. He was revolting. I waited for Cain to come out from backstage...5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, as it reached the 30 minute mark I decided to go home. Dibdobs would be worried. When I got home, everyone was already asleep so I just went straight up to my squirrel room. When I laid down on the bed a heard a loud thud on my window. Cain!? I jumped up and look outside but the window was foggy. I decided it was for the best so I laid back down. But then there was another thud and another! I decided to open the window. And just as I did a huge egg hit me right in the forehead.i wipes it off my forehead to the sound of howling laughter. It was Charlie and Beverly. "YOU TWO ARE COMPLETE NOBHEADS!!!" I shouted. They ran off and I saw Charlie drop a note on the ground. I rushed down to get it. All it read was:
Go to the barn
In underlines. I raced up to the barn and slowly opened the door. "Mmmmph" I hear someone say. "Hello!?" I call. Out of the hay comes a half naked girl who's name I don't know, and Cain, with just his underpants on. Oh. my. god.
Cain
I had had a couple ...a lot of drinks after the gig. Then a smoking hot local gal came up to me. She was so hot... I forgot my senses. I simply took the delicious dessert to the barn and chowed down. Yum yum. We were just getting somewhere when I heard a call from someone. My drunk ass stumbled out of the hay and watched Lullah walk into the barn. I watched as Lullah stood there in shock. I watched as the tears filled her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. I watched...as I lost my green eyes.
Lullah
I half-stumbled half-ran back down the path. How could he!? After I said I fancied him!? After I kissed him!? I kept running when..WHAM! I ran straight into...uggh Charlie. I'd already had enough boy drama , I didn't need more. "You saw 'im then?" He said. I got up, "yes." I said, trying to be strong. Charlie looked me in the eyes. "You know the real reason I snogged Beverly..?" He asked. I shook my head. "Because I saw what you had with Cain and I knew I didn't stand a chance against him." He finished. I looked at him intently, he wasn't lying, I could tell from the way he looked at me. This was the Charlie I knew. The Charlie I loved. At that moment I burst into tears and I let Charlie pull me into a hug. It felt so good to be in his arms again. He smiled down at me and I gave him a small, sad smile. He walked me home and kissed me on the forehead, just like he used to. Then, Beverly burst out of the bushes, " it worked! It worked! The plan worked Charlie!" I laughed at her she took my softly by the arms and whispered in my ear "this was how it was meant to be. You and Charlie"
"And you and Cain?" I whispered back.
"No" she said " I don't like Cain"
"Then what was in it for you?" I asked
"Seeing you in a happy relationship" she finished and skipped off into the night. " so you really do fancy me don't you?" I asked.
"More than anyone." Replied Charlie. He kissed me on the forehead. "Hoppy is going to kill you." I said.
"Worth it." He replied.
"Well, see you later, boyfriend" I called as he walked off. "Yarooooo!" He shouted "I'm dating Tallulah Casey!!! PRAISE THE KNEES!!!" I laughed and laughed as I watched Charlie happy dance back to Woolfe Academy.
